hi
So just wanted to update everyone what I have done since august last year ...
The car has been driven another 7k km since then and now there is oily residue on all three spark plugs

However, it drives much better and is still consuming 200-300ml of oil per oil change
I have done the following work on it
Changed the cvt oil
CVT was overfilled by at least a litre. The oil was pretty dark and burnt like
It made a massive difference to the speed/acceleration of the car
at next oil change i filled it with shell 5w40 fully synthetic oil
after 2000km i replaced the oil filter. it had significant crud accumulated on it .. i believe that was the synthetic oil in action, cleaning up the engine
at 4000km i changed the oil, again using shell's 5w40 but before that i flushed the engine via liqui moly engine flush, which i knew was big risk for a car with a weak-ish engine
the oil
The oil that came out was proper thick with sludge
Next I got the engine's combustion chamber carbon cleaned and the catalytic converter cleaned as well
I got a cheap boroscope camera off aliexpress just to check all the cylinders & cat beforehand to see if the carbon cleaning would make any difference

View from the throttle body

Yucky looking piston head, viewed from the sparkplug inlet
A very choked Catalytic converted viewed from the oxygen sensor socket
Please note again that getting an weak engine carbon cleaned is perhaps not the best idea as the carbon deposits might be the only thing that are maintaining the compression in the engine
I rechecked the piston heads after the "carbon clean" didnt see much difference.
however, the catalytic converter was completely clean ( at least the upper part of the mesh visible via a camera from the oxygen sensor socket )
Cleaning the cat has made a massive difference and the car is running now better than ever. It can cross 120kph while previously it struggled to cross 90-95 kph
I now think that the piston rings wore out because of the excessive back pressure & load on the engine from a choked cat and an overfilled cvt
There is still minor oil consumption ..and there is still that problem of plumes of bluish smoke above 5500 rpm but that kind of rpm is not needed under normal driving conditions
So i am happy. Didnt need an engine swap /rebuild (yet) and i am sure i can put another 7-10-15k km on the car before needing to spend all that cash
Every month or so i take out the spark plugs and clean the residue off them and I clean the throttle body as well
So just a heads up to all other belta owners having a slow or unresponsive engine ... stick to the basics, use a good, preferably synthetic oil, keep your throttle body and catalytic converter clean, and make sure the cvt fluid is clean and filled as per spec and you should be able to considerably improve your engines responsiveness
ps the recommended oils for 1kr fe are 0-20, 5w-20, 5w-30 and 10w-30 ... i am just trying out a thicker oil to see if it will help me with the oil burning issue
Costs incurred
CVT-TC Fluid cost 5000 rupees, changed at home
Cat + carbon cleaning cost 6000 rupees, at carismatic, dha phase 2 khi
