Same, the different policy hasn't really changed the prices, a '08 1.0L 4.5A vehicle would still cost you above 12,50,000.

Minimum price? A '05 (end) registered vehicle would cost you 11-11.50lacs. Although, I can't say anything about the car market prices in Punjab.

What's the recommended time interval/mileage between gear oil changes? I read somewhere that CVT oil should be replaced every 20k kms. Is that true?

Also, I took my belta to my pretty experienced mechanic and unlike a "stepped" AT gearbox he was unable to find an oil level gauge and suggested that I should find my car's owner's manual and then he'd be more comfortable with the oil level check up and change, if necessary. I have the owner's manual for 1.5 lit USDM Yaris but it doesn't come with a CVT gearbox. Any advice?

Oh, that's a pretty reasonable price for a G-selection Belta.

I hate how the customs duty just jumps two-fold with an engine capacity increase from 1.0 lit to 1.3 lit. It's obscene.
Any estimate on the total cost for importing a late 2006/early 2007 1.3 lit Belta (X)?

The estimated time for changing your CVT's transmission fluid is around 60,000Kms. There isn't a transmission fluid dip stick to check your transmission fluid level.

What you will have to do is turn to open the drain bolt and a little not all the way or your transmission fluid will just pour out within seconds. Turn to to open the drain bolt a little and check the color and the stickiness of the fluid if the color of the fluid is dark green and it's sticky, it's time for you to change and flush the transmission fluid.

The 1.5L engine that comes in the Yaris is a 1NZ-FE, it has a completely different non-CVT transmission.

I know, the difference of the duty between the two is around PKR: 250,000 which is really insane. A '06 (end) or a early '07 1.3L X would cost you around 12,50,000-13,00,000. That is without the cost of registration.

That transmission fluid isn't recommended for Toyota vehicles with CVT transmission, what is recommended is Toyota Genuine CVT Fluid TC. What's the mileage on your Belta? You would need around 4 Liters of it.

Is the gearbox giving you any problems? Jerks? Unsmooth shifting? If it isn't then don't change the transmission fluid yet, my Belta is around 31,000Kms driven. I haven't changed the transmission fluid yet either, what the factory claims is the best mileage for your transmission fluid to be changed at is 60,000-75,000Kms.
