Hi everyone. Just wanted to share my new ride here

Finally after 3 consecutive days of hectic searching for a nice clean Belta did I manage to find one on the 4th day thanks to Murtaza's help I'm really happy with the Belta. It's a 2007 model X package 1000 cc with 43k on the odo. Am really loving the drive and boy is it powerful. Feels like a 1300 cc. Due to my limited budget I couldnt afford the 1300 cc or the G package which I wanted. But Thanks to Murtaza also for assuring me that the 1000 cc is not underpowered. Here are some pics

@all, this is one clean Belta. The best thing about it is that the mileage is original not tempered or flipped, body panel parts are neither repaired and/or replaced.

We chose this one after having a look at a few, money well spent I should say.

Ah, you caught me

The issue is gone, thank God. The problem was that my Belta had worn-out spark plugs. I replaced those immediately, got OEM ones (pictures and details are in this thread).

The issue was also resolved soon afterwards. The OEM battery my Belta had was getting pretty weak (the Belta is not used much). Got a new dry Hankook battery, and it hasn't been bothering me ever since.

Till now I am not facing any vibration on idle problem or 'rough/long start' problem whatsoever, Alhumdulliah.

I have two other cars that I drive regularly. The Belta is covered up and I don't get time to drive it. I do however, start it up once a week take a short drive, check all the fluids, check the air in the tires and then park it back.

185/60/R15 would the best size to go for. It won't change your drive quality and won't harm your suspension.

As for alloy wheels, OEM's will be the best option. But everyone has their own choices.

Below are three different wheels that the Belta came with. The first wheel is a 14'' one and came in the 1.0L XS package. The second wheel came in the pre face-lift G package and the last wheel came in the post face-lift G and XL package, both of these are 15''s.

NOTE: All of these wheels were optional, expect for the 1.0L XS package and have a 4-bolt pattern.

The reason I am stingy about it is that it was imported by my father according to his specifications, I consider it as a weekend family car which is rarely used.

Dear all, i purchased a 2009 belta 1000cc in polar white a couple of weeks ago.
It has the most amazing ride. previously i was driving a 2004 city manual, and there is really no comparison.
I just love its handling and sharp turn-ins

One problem I am facing is that the place where I live has lots of speed(car?) breakers and my car touches them everytime, even when i am the only occupant in the car. Right now the car has its original 165/70R14 yokohamas, almost bald.

I want to raise my car enough so it doesnt scrape speed bumps but doesn't lose its handling either.

I figure just replacing the stock 165/70s with new ones will potentially raise the car by an inch - full tread plus stiffer sidewall.

What are your experiences with adding rubber 'spacers' underneath the spring for raising car, or replacing stock rim/tyre with larger size ?
eg 185/65R15s or 185/60R15s

I had the same problem and solved it perfectly by putting 185/65r15s. So that should solve your problem also

I think I will go for the shorter 185/60s instead of 185/65s .
I asked about handling because a couple of months ago i replaced worn out 195/60 r14 dunlop sp sports on my 2004city with hankook meo2 185/70 r14. The car doesnt touch ANY speed breakers, even with 4 people sitting, but its turn-in has become really slow and handling has worsened. Furthermore, road grip deteriorates significantly at 105 kph - similar feeling came at 140 kph with previous low . profile tyres. I guess too much air find its way below the car and lifts it.
However, with 4 people sitting, car is stable up to 120kph - thats as fast as I have had chance to drive

Also, dunlop sp sport are the noisiest tyres I have ever used !

185-60-15 were not available so i had to go for 185-65. But these are giving me the perfect ground clearance so not issues. 185-60 might actually not solve the problem for u....i recommend u go for 195-60 or 185-65... I have Dunlop LM-703's. Dont have any noise issue on these. But if u can find Yokohama's, they are better tires as per my experience.

Count me in Would love to have one in English. But like murtaza_murti said have to be sure of the shipping. There is this site homeshopping.pk where you select anything from ebay and they will arrange it for you. You can check them out and see if their shipping is cheaper.

guys i need little help here!
i just bought a toyota belta 2sz-fe 1300 cc 2007 unreg
the guy i bought it from told me that he has already changed the engine oil(shell helix ultra) and trnsmission fuid that he put in was zic atf something. now before reading ur threads i wasn,t aware of the repercussions of such a folly. i have driven the car around 500 kms on it. it seems to be fine but i amm really worried now. what damage, god forbid , am i looking at over here? and since i cannot get the said fluid in okara can drive my car to lahore on it. need help pronto
