Thanks for correction IF this what it says in manual. I got my oil changed once so far from toyota (full inspection) and they told me they put almost 3.5liters.

Brother can you tell us how much engine oil you filled in your belta as you recently serviced it.

I just did mine with the oil filter and it was about 3.1 litres but still sometimes it shows very slightly over the top fill mark. I guess it shldnt be a problem though. You know these shell guys they do by estimate but its more or less correct. I check for the next few days after that if the oil is less or more and I dont let them put in the full can as I can always top it up later.

Hey Guys,

Again my Belta is hesitating for a few secs after startup on a cold start in the mornings and then after work. What should I do? It runs normally after that no issues. Only happens after startup during cold starts when the car is standing for a long period of time.

Someone on Yaris Forums told me to get it scanned by a Toyota Service tool on a cold start and if its lean then the fuel filter is probably plugged. He said the normal scan tools may not be able to do this.

What else could be the problem. Battery was checked and is fine.

Have you recently changed your Fuel filter... if not & if its been more than 40k without a change. i suggest u replace ur fuel filter..

if you have replaced the fuel filter, then do the following

check plugs
clean throttlebody
clean MRP sensor (its behind/under Throttlebody)
check / change air filter

give it 2-3 days.. if problem still remains then use a Good brand EFI Addon (for fuel tank) & engine cleaner mobile oil add on (put in with next oil change) from Liquimoly or some other known brand. remember to fill your tank before using it

I was facing the same issue but after doing all of the above.. what worked was the last EFI & Oil addon thing... even after them it took 3-4 days to get things normalized..for the time being try a couple of deep pumps before you start ur car from a longer idle state. Best of Luck

My car is now about 47,000 kms original mileage. I heard its a pain to change the filter and also need to find a good mechanic to do it. Someone who knows his job.

Zahid maybe right, When I bought my Belta it had 64k on clock and i took it for a complete inspection from Toyota GT motors. They scanned and asked me to get:

Oil change
Oil filter
Fuel filter
Transmission oil
Air filter
Plugs were clean (prolly they were changed recently)
Brake service
Tyres rotation

I gulped the bitter sip and paid for all that ..... but result is a piece of mind and no issues Alhamdulillah so far. Consumption as I mentioned earlier is static (between 16 to 19km/h).

Thanks. How much did you pay for the fuel filter? I guess I will have to replace the filter. Btw when I pump the pedal a few times in the mornings as suggested to me by someone, it does not hesitate after starting. Strange....why is that?

Just one thing. Did you buy just the fuel filter (jali) or the whole set? There is a confusion as to what to buy as the whole set is quite expensive I heard. Can't we just replace the netting (jali) of the filter?

Sorry dude I dunno where my head is now a days. My cousin searched out the receipt and it does not have any entry of fuel filter, meaning I never changed it. Only two filters were changed; oil and air.
Let me try if my cousin can scan and attach a receipt to me, then I will share.

recently bought belta ...drove from pindi to bahawalpur alone....i reached bwp in 10 hours....10 hours continous drive....a jouney of its own kind....on motorway i kept it at 115 and after motorway on 100...simply luved the drive....total fuel expenditure 4000 rupees...the only break was for jumma prayers and some refreshment.....

Well I would suggest to do it through Toyota dealership as they are better equipped...actually the issue is opening the fuel filter which is located under the back seat fixed on the top of fuel tank.. if you have proper equipment then you can simply dislodge the seat & open it but if you dont or (as in my case) too much dust which makes fuel filter jammed.. then you will have to dislodge the whole fuel tank first.. So Toyota dealership is recommended

Also change the complete fuel filter with pump & jaali.. as you are already taking all the required pain..i know the cost is high but then u wont be needing to Hopefully do it for another 40 k-kms.

As per the price goes.. I bought the full (Pump/filter/jaali) for 7500+1500 = 9000 while the regular mechanic took 1000 labor.. so it all cost me 10k... toyota will probably cost higher then this but I still would recommend to do this particular thing from Toyota only

Thanks for the reply. I will certainly keep that in mind. However since the past few days I have not been having the problem after a mechanic friend of mine told me to pump the gas pedal a few times in the morning before starting the car. Surprise!!!! Lets see how things go.

I say if no trouble, no need to change. However keep in mind there is always a life limit to such parts.
