Got an sms from Ali Malik here on PakWheels telling Toyota Islamabad had the new Camry! Priced at a whopping Rs. 9.7 million, once again bypassing C and even E Class (Rs. 8.5 million) Mercs even now.

LOL @ the fact it is a taxi in KSA or anywhere... Mercedes is also a "taxi" in many parts of the world, then what? This isn't an excuse of not liking a car. The actual reason is, the price is insane, whether it is a taxi or not. If it would have been for something around 2 Million, everyone would have loved to own this "taxi". Come on people!

this camry is 2.5 ltr. six speed auto. 135kw and camry is considered reliable car always. fuel econmy is much better then previous model, 6.2/lt hwy kms. and city driving it 9.2 kms. acceleration is prety f9.
Well when car is zero meter and you have to import it into pakistan, taxes are massive. that is why it costs 9.7 millions.
reduce taxes so that ppl can have better standard car instead of pili mehran taxies. vote for imran khan kick out the rest

What amuses me the most is the comments about Camry being a taxi in Saudi Arabia. Mercs are the same in Germany. Daewoos, in Eastern parts of the world. Why are we looking so far? Aren't Mehrans (taxis) and Corollas (Radio Cabs) the same here?
