Don't care about hybrids. The Toyota Prius is the shittiest car made on the planet. GRANTED it's not supposed to be fast, but in its economy mode it has literally ZERO power. It's pretty scary accelerating to merge into a faster lane- the power just isn't there... :S

Camry Hybrid may be a better alternative, but I'm fine with getting 30mpg on the highway and paying a couple of thousand dollars less. (And I HAVE! :d)

Because the sheer torque of the engine would snap the motor
It actually isn't such a bad idea in theory. You could be nudging 70+ mpg...
