I can restore the body, but I'll need the engine intact.. I don't want a diesel.. If its a decent petrol engine, I can use it.. I plan on swapping the engine myself with a 4AGZE or similar powerplant.. The body work I can deal with..

lol that's the same headache i'm contending with
i saw a mint condition '76 lt1600 with rawalpindi plates near my place, it was black and looked awesome! but the guy didnt want to sell it :S
do you know where i can one in diesel?

well swap wont be a prob..... these cars have heavy suspension and chassis therefore its easier for them to handle this sort of power. PLUS i will do some work on chassis and suspension too

yup finding this car is a big prob itself :(.

i have been looking for a celica for a while now same 76-77 model havent some accross one nice example!!! a few but ruined body or tooo much rust been loooking for a yellow with black top in rawalpindi number 1414 for ages its somwhr but no idea whr?!!! tht car is in mint condition still was owned by family imported in the 80s last i saw it was in 2000 still in same condition!
