Today I went to Toyota Clifton and wanted to get my yaris 1.5 ativ cvt complete service from there which included brake service, throttle body service, sensors cleaning, nut bolt tightening, spark plugs cleaning, computerized scanning, complete suspension check and body wash and at end a 204 point checkup and oil change which costed me around 14k
But really disappointed by their level of service being a car physco I opted to check whole procedure.
1) these type of service takes almost 1-2 hours but they did it in half an hour which is not an issue but below points are for this half an hour service
2) Got a new discovery there that we can fit new oil filter before draining previous oil to me this was really surprising and the service man eating pan said "khair hai, khair hai eik hi baat hai"
3) after fitting new filter oil drain nut was just opened for 4 mins and then closed even before the chamber could get empty and a stream of oil was still flowing when he just tightened the nut.
4) most agitating part for me was when they did so called throttle body service. According to my knowledge also being an owner of kia Sportage and an altis in lahore throttle body should be first opened and then cleaned with a carb cleaner but to my surprise they just opened air filter pipe and then sprayed carb cleaner on both sides and then when I asked what kind of throttle body service is this they said "isi tarah hi hota hai baqi sub baqwas hota hai waqt zaya karte hain" I think all manufacturer who are doing it OEM way unko yeh baqwas band karke engineer sahab se seekhna chahiye.
5) wiper fluid was filled with wateer which is totally normal but jab uske sath hi he started to fill coolant with water I stopped him on which engineer sahab once again said eik hi cheez hai on which its a matter of worry ke why toyota is selling coolant for 1000pkr/ltr agar pani and coolant eik hi cheez hai.
6) I think there are more then 16 nut bolts in under body at minimum for which toyota charges 2000 pkr and engineer sahab just tightened 4 nuts with torque wrench and the others were not even considered.
7) I purchased this car second hand so I just wanted to get it checked completely and as spark plugs are one of most important components I just wanted to get it checked once just for so called tasali but engineer sahab once again said ' Gari 20,000 chali hai abhi nahi masla hoga sab sahi hai'
8) One of the part of service is sensor cleaning which were to be cleaned but no one even considered the sensors and even saying it multiple time they ignored it
9) As a part of complete service always at end a computerized check up is compulsory on all dealerships but they even removed it from list and said agar koi light nahinde rahi tou sahi hai koi zaroorat nahi
10) Complete suspension check was such a kind that engineer sahab even didn't checked under carriage and baqi tou door ki baat hai.
11) the following 204 point checkup report was not provided and as report contains battery condition check it needs a ammeter to check and they didn't used it moreover transmission fluid was not checked at all, belt tightness was not checked.
These all are problem from only 1 visit to Toyota clifton motor. For 1st time kia dealership felt like a piece of heaven which always sent us back fully satisfied and at times specially at kia defence lahore their service advisor safdar is too much concerned for our car that we have to rethink that gari inki hai ya hamari and I think that's the reason behind their success. Same goes for toyota Airport lahore and toyota society karachi and Kia Clifton always satisfied but here at Toyota Clifton its last time
