Toyota corolla 1.6 2012 vs vitz 2014

I am bit confused about buying a car between these two.im a bit towards corolla as it will provide more power but not a bit difference in fuel consumption.But i see many friends advising me for vitz.any suggestions?

Bro, hatchback and Sedan make no comparison with one another! Both are different classes of vehicles.

First decide that whether you need a hatchback or a Sedan? Diggi wali Car and then move accordingly.

If you have a big family (mostly adults), frequent traveling on long routes, Boot / Diggi space required, good fuel efficiency and comfort, requirement of a big Family Car / Sedan, then the obvious choice would be Toyota Corolla 1.6.

Otherwise, if small family, frequent traveling within city and concerned with fuel efficiency, then Vitz.

Given these 2 options with same conditions, model year, regular maintenance, etc. My choice would always be Corolla 1.6 (Altis) (obviously if I could afford it).

And Corolla 1.6 is the most fuel efficient, and Corolla 1.3 is the least (Power to weight of the body ratio does matter). 1.8 Corolla lies in the middle of these 2 variants regarding fuel efficiency.

Regarding power alone, obviously 1.8 is more than 1.6, is more than 1.3. 1.6 is the most balanced option considering fuel efficiency and power.
