Toyota Corolla 1.6 vs Altis 1.8

So recently i sold my old 2007 corolla and i want to buy a 2014 1.6 GLI however they allcost between 24-25 lacs and i lve reached out to a couple of Altis 1.8 owners who are selling their vehicles between 25-26 lacs. Now i cant make up my mind which car should i buy and what are the pros and cons of owning each variant so can anyone help me out?

As you said you wanted a GLI 1.6 that means you want to buy a 10th gen corolla??
The price tag is way to high in my opinion you can find pre facelift 11th gen corollas in the budget easily in this budget so go with them or civic rebirth

Don't pay 24 lacs for a 10th generation 1.6.In 25-26 lacs either get a Grande,1.6 Altis,or a ninth generation civic.did dealer told u this price

I agree with gentlemen. Don't pay 24, 25 lac for a 10th Gen. Better to increase budget a bit and go far 11th Gen. And yes market is crazy these days. Came across two 13 and 14 Gli's 1.6. Demands were 25 and 24 ... Better to avoid them.

try finding 1.8 cvti which is far more better than that of 1.6gli with more phirls and more comfort level. it will give you more economy and power.

I was in similar situation few weeks ago - Finally gave up on overpriced Gli's. Increased my budget and went for a clean 2016 (late model) grande. I am very satisfied. Drive is amazing, CVT is butter smooth and I am getting 12+ local and 16 on highway. It has climate control, rain sensor, updated MiD and two airbags.

Dude everyone is a "businessman" now. buy a car in perfect condition and sell it for 2 lakhs profit without doing anything to it. "Business kar ra hoon main". A car is traded between 4-5 dealers before it ends up in the hands of a genuine buyer who plans to keep it, but by then its price is increased by 5-6 lakhs easy. A correct "business" would be to buy damaged cars, fix them up and then sell it. But 99% just buy perfect cars and then sell them anyway for profit. It's the reasons used car prices are so high.

For 25 lakhs just gen 11th gen 1.6. Search around more and if you can find 10th gen 1.6 for 21 or less, only then get it.
Mileage will be same. Those selling 10th gen cars for less than 100,000km are lying, especially if the rest of the car looks to be in perfect condition. Too many times I've seen a car on pakwheels with more than 100,000 km and then a few days later the same car comes up on another site for 50-60k kms on the odometer.
