Toyota Corolla 1.8 Automatic 2010

Hello Pak wheelers, I’ve recently brought “Corolla Altis 1.8 Automatic 2010 Model” need some suggestion about following things; (Car mileage is 170,000 KM)

• Recommended Plugs for good average?
• Suitable Engine oil and grade
• Automatic Transmission fluid?
• Coolant is necessary?
• Recommended breaking pads for the 1800cc car?
• suggest any other thing, fluid or engine part I need to change after buying a nine-year-old car

Its cruisetronic ECT it will take Toyota ATF WS fluid

engine oil you can comfortably use 10W-40 all season engine oil from Shell, Havoline Aisin from reputed outlet.

if plain water is in system Flush radiator & use caltex coolant.

Brake Pads ( Exedy ) & Plugs (Iridium) change only if needed

Why coolant is so necessary and why not tap water ?

Tap waters have a lot of minerals in it, as time goes by these minerals deposit in your cars cooling system and engine, corroding and rusting them, resultantly causing a lot of damage. Water also has lower boiling point as compared to ethylene glycol based coolants, coolants do not corrode your cars cooling system but infact increase the lifespan of it and also your engine. If you are using tap water in your cars at home, bleed them dry and top them up with coolant.

I guess I have to go for coolant now. I have heard some toyota coolant is the best? or guard coolant. Please give some proper coolant brand with approx price if possible. Thanks in advance

Toyota long-life coolant is good, but I have been using pre-diluted aisin (there are two types of coolants pre-diluted and concentrated - prediluted coolants are plain and simple just buy them and top your car up with them, whereas concentrates need to be diluted with one half distilled water i.e. 500ml coolant, 500 ml distilled water) Also know that you can never mix orange dexcool coolants with green ones ever! The aisin im using is the green one and i am satisfied. 1 liter bottle costs around 500 and I had to buy 4 for my city. Using suzuki coolant in my alto and altis already came with coolant out of the factory.
Dont go for nasa, guard, master, osaka.
Go for fuchs, aisin, caltex, toyota llc.

Bro I have the same model and it is quite a good spirited driving car.
1. Use OEM Spark plugs, they will need to be changed like every 10k, but they are better than iridiums I have used iridium plugs before, there is nominal difference.
2. Engine oil I use is 10w40 Liqui Moly with Mos2, Mos2 is a additive that avoid friction and thus creates smoothness in the engine. It is good, but not neccesary you may use without mos2 since it is cheaper.
3. I use KIXX DX 3 and change after every 20k, ATF WS from Toyota is also a good option but expensive.
4. OEM or Akebono or any good ones.
5. Coolant should be used not mineral water.
6. Check steering rack, ball joints, bushes ends.

I use KIXX DX 3 and change after every 20k, ATF WS from Toyota

present day ATF fluid have life of 70000+ kms again waste of money for change at 20,000

Bro the spark plugs are not expensive. And let me correct, after 10k they require to be changed.
Same with KIXX DX3 it is not that expensive and considering our environment I don't think it is advisable to wait till 70k.

i recommend have an access to owner's manual for any car, read carefully.
