Toyota Corolla 1973 - 3K Engine

I just the started the project of 1973 Toyota Corolla Hard Top having following specs, (requesting for humble and kind suggestions)

Body type - Coupe
Doors - 2
Seating - 4
Front Break- Disc
Rear Brake - Drum
Interior is not Original right now (I am just going to buy the new one for it).

Engine is in good and running condition having 3K — 1.2 L (1166 cc) I4, 8-valve OHV, carb, 55 hp (41 kW)

AC is installed but going to replace it with the Original factory supplied COOLER (so the installed AC is for sale <-- Any one can buy it, plus some more parts are for sale of the car which I am going to replace with the new one)

CNG Installed

Alloy Rims are installed with good average tyres.

More details will be coming time by time.

get rid of all aftermarkt stuff put stock parts give it a respray and there u have it

Nice find, front grill is custome made.. this is what original looks like

paint it and work on everything else slow.

first stage

strip the car, and check for where weld of weak metal is needed.

clean all orginal parts seperatel to take dust gathered on the inside. and fit them back

recheck the wiring, better to replace it any joints .

paint job

engine washed compltely, replaced used worn out parts. overall recomended.( this mech will check for you).

Best of luck for the project and keep it orignal as much you can, and if your engine is weak go for 7K instead of repairing.

What was the demand? Lack of availability of original
parts will make this a tough but not impossible project.

Rims are good enough and should polished up nicely:)

In 2009 I had flagged down a similar car near nursery
and owner was
demand 120K but the car was a rust bucket.

The engine is really in sound condition... So presently i am just looking forward for its overall body work and electric work

So now the Body work is start ... And I really need all pakwheelers suggestion ... Please keep it in mind that I am trying my best to restore it in original position.
Now presently I just plugout its engine with gear Box and Shaft to overcome all its rust and other things from downside. Hopefully inshaAllah till the mid of December my Dentor is going to handover me the car for its paint Job..... Now looking to buy its original dashboard with Steering and all other assemblies connected to steering. Also the Steering rod with Steering Box. I hope inshaAllah this coming saturday I am going to visit Shershah for it (to buy).

I have its AC for sale - The AC is not of that old 1973 - because at that there were I think no ACs .. So its old owner installed in in near years back... So any if like to buy it with all its parts .. i will be so much happy .. Requesting all dear Pak Wheelers to help me to sale out the AC.. Because I am going to install inshaAllah the original COOLER of it in it<--- the Price of AC will not me that much i am just waiting for any first good offer

Good work so far, I think you can pretty much source everything from Shershah with the exception of fender garnish for KE25/TE27 only because these were never sold in Pakistan. You'll have to use the ones from 74 corolla sedan.

Oh and please get rid of that rear valence thing it looks out of place IMHO
