Toyota corolla 2.0D 2004 overhauling

Hello PW's, this thread will be related to my daily runner 2.0D corolla 2004 , its in my use since long without having any maintenance other then regular engine oil / filter change , and now time has come where i can see this vehicle can no longer serve me unless i gave it a complete overhaul, engine/gear is solid and have no oil leaks, but it does need maintenance like tappets, injector nozzles, timing belt, water pump etc , front suspension is in its worst condition , both bumpers will be replaced, fenders need repair and body paint will be polished , this vehicle is in my daily use and gets a good beating in last many years , first i plan to pass this vehicle to a new owner but then i though i will never find a 2D again , i calculate the damage done on this vehicle and then plan to restore it it its original glory. as usual all work will be done by me other then denting / paint job , vehicle will be grounded during all work , hope so every thing will be go smoothly.

body work finished ,,,,,,, only burners are painted ,,,,, rest all body has been buff polished and some dry denting on fenders,,,,,,,,,,

i purchase few months before in little less then 22$ including delivery, and custom can detain it if they catch it , just ask the seller to send without box and do not write GPS tracker on envelop , all my home vehicles are fitted with GPS trackers since long and installation is very much same as installing a remote security system , all you need is a SIM card with GPRS package enable , no need of SMS package , there are 2 types of trackers , one communicate via SMS and other via GPRS/app , second one is easy to use , you will need a mobilink postpaid sim with 2G GPRS package of 2.5 GB / month , i prefer mobilink becasue mobilink internet and coverage is best among all ,

car arrive at home and i gave it a wash and polish it , fitted fender shields along with mud flaps , next Friday i will start work on front suspension ,

U should have matched the door handles ,side mirrors and side golay with paint to enhance the look of car..... remove the wheels and clean and buff them.......engine bay steam wash.......also if u can arrange side skirts of altis.....then it's a good upgrade IMHO

well engine is in good shape , no engine oil consumption , millage is around 150k ,,,, it gave heavy black smoke and fuel consumption is also disturbed ,,,, starting is normal ,,,,,, half crank on cold start with single heater ,,,,,,,,, i need to check valve clearance , and change injector nozzles ,,,,, and adjust the injection timing ,,,,,, but unfortunately at present i do not have any proper tool for this job ,,,,,,, i need to find and purchase dial gauge , valve shim tool , torque wrench and nozzle tester ,,,,, i do have a nozzle tester but i lost it while shifting home ,,,,,,,i fail to find these things in rwp/isd ,,,,, any how let me first address this front suspension then next i will address this engine ,,,,,,

body work almost done ,,,, tomorrow i will start dismantling front suspension , then i will on AC ,,,,, AC is in perfect working condition ,,,,, with factory filled gas ,,,,,,,, it need cleaning of evaporator ,,,,,,, which infect need removal of entire dashboard ,,,,,, and then i will focus on engine ,,,,,,,,

yesterday i open front suspension ,,,,,, surprisingly only the lower control arm bushing was torn off...... also done a first oil change on my corolla 2016 .... tomorrow will sort out the broken bushing of control arm,,,,,,,

Why are you removing entire dashboard?? Are you planning to replace it??

well to service the air conditioner evaporator coil ,,,,,,,,, there is no way it can be done without removing the dash board ,,,,,,,
