Toyota Corolla 2.OD 2000 Worth?

Dear Pakwheelers!
I need a used sedan in budget of maximum 6 lac and after thorough research the final tie is now between Toyota 2.OD and Honda City Exis 2000-2002 . I personally like City Exis due to it's better looks, power features, stability etc but i have 2.OD (2000) in my family in good condition. Corolla XE has poor fuel Eco. I dont know much about diesel cars most of the people left and right are suggesting that diesel cars are good.I just want a good reliable car for city as well as long routes. Please solve this little problem by giving pros and cons of both cars with details.
Is Corolla 2.OD is wroth buying nowadays?
Can i find a clean city in this range ?

A well maintained diesel car is fun to drive but unfortunately most of the diesels are not properly maintained. Ustaads do their jugars on them. If the corolla in your family is well maintained then go for it. It'll be hard to find a clean city in this range. People are asking too much for the clean ones.

I have three Questions in my mind
1. Fuel average of diesel car ?
2. Maintenance cost of Diesel car ?
3. Resale of Diesel car ?
as compared to petrol respectively

1- Fuel average of well maintained diesel car is 13-15 km/l with ac in city and 17-18 km/l on highway (again i'm talking about well maintained)

2- Properly maintained diesel car's maintenance cost is cheaper then petrol one but a messed up diesel engine is PITA.

3- Resale is less then petrol cars.

with the diesel prices I wont ask you to go for it. Resale is slow too. Buy a petrol engine car, easier to check the engine state too. City would be hard to get in this range.

1)even that old 2c can do 18km/L in local drive
2)maintenance is not that costly
3) resale isnt good

What should be fair price for a 2.OD? Details are
2000 Model, 2010 Islamabad registered, Black color. Body wise original a few touch up. Engine overhauled 2 months back. new tyres. new battery. Leather stitched seats. Interior is clean.

I think there is not much difference in petrol and diesel prices.

anything between 475000 - 550000 is fine .. for car with clean papers and without MAJOR accidents

I have a JDM 1.8D XE Saloon Limited. I purchased it back in 2010 from auction. The car was 1991 made with only 10,000Km driven. From the day of import it was standing on port until 7 years ago i purchased it. The reason of telling this is that the Engine is still in fresh condition giving 19KM/L at local and 21-22KM/L at GT Road.
So does it worth it? I bet my riches This beast totally worth it. But only for those who remain dedicated to this ride. If you plan on driving it for a year or 2 then you should never have buy a 2D. But if you want to Enjoy the ride then there is no more luxury car then the Corolla of 90s. Coz They are heavy and does not lose their balance at high speed. They just Penetrates in the Road....

1.8D and 2D are the King and Queen of North of Pakistan (Murree, Naran, China Border and other Northern Areas). You can Put your whole family IN and ON this Car and it will never disappoint you on the North of Pakistan. Reason of Telling this? Power of Hot Diesel Engine.

P.S. This Theory is Backed by the Fact that 1.8D and 2.0D Corollas are the Most Robbed Cars, Even now. Coz Most of the Public Vans and Cars in Murree, Pindi and Naran are running on 1.8D and 2.0D Engines for passengers.
