Hello dear friends i want to ask that i have corolla GLI 1.3 2004 model there is clicking sound from left back side on jumps and rough roads. I have decided to change shocks before this i will first check shock and rear rod bushs. Moreover i want to ask i have two options one Agri new shock absorber in market available around. Rs.8000 and other one kabuli Rs.5500 pair which one i should buy kindly help me out
Bad axle can also cause clicking sound. If u have shock problem then get new agriauto rather than kabli
if i remember correctly, a member replaced rear structs with agri auto on same model corolla and he was not satisfied, please check forums
May I ask how have you judged that rear shocks have failed and need to be replaced? A simple test would be to press down hard once on the trunk of your car. If the car bounces up once and stops then shocks are fine. If it keeps bouncing then shocks need replacement. Buy shocks which are as near in specs as your original ones and have some warranty. I would not recommend kabuli shocks as they might fail any time.
riding on "pre dead" shock absorbers in an exciting gamble of its own you know!!.
It has the same thrill as betting on a horse youve never bet on.
KYB are better than Agriauto but double the price.
I have heard that Agriauto available for sale in the market are actually QC failed articles.
My suggestion amongst the available options is to go for KYB.
Bro i am not sure that its shock at first i thought it was the bush in the shock but they were fine then the mechanic without open it said it need shock replacement but i thought it may be long rod bushs as a friend mentioned above it also make same sound. Now my task is first of all i will check each and every thing then go for any kind replacement. But my main reason of thread on this forum was to have suggestions if a go for shock replacement which the expert will suggest new one or kabuli one i was going for Agri new one when i saw them the finishing of product was not looking good at the same time in other shop was same shick given me in Rs.6000 the earlier one was about Rs.8000 iwas confused that may be they all are not orignal they are copy. so i decided to go for kabuli KYB shocks but at the same time as other mentioned earlier that there is no guarantee of kabuli one's.
The agriauto ones in market are not qc failed units, they are valved different than original factory parts.
This is standard of all japanese automakers, you will never get same item as OE part if you buy it from OEM or OES.
Thanks for the correction.
I heard this from a senior member on the forums here. In any case, most of the users don't prefer Agri replacement shocks for their Corollas.
AoA friends today i visited workshop agian i found the sound coming from the sheild on the left saide of car which cobe petrol pipes was lose i tighten it now no clicking sound but one thing i want to ask is that the mechanic saw the right shock there was some trace of oil he said that the shock is leak it need replacement. However its a gas shock i want to ask it also leak oil or not
