Toyota Corolla (2005 -2008) vs City iDSI

AOA Brothers, i need a car in the range of 1.2 Million. I have a few requirements that include low fuel consumption, up model car(with low milleage), rigid and not causing mechanical troubles, and easily resell-able. I have finalized City iDSi and Corolla models 2005-2008. Can anyone please guide me the pros and cons of both and which vehicle should i prefer over the other?. Plus if you think i should go for some 3rd vehicle, which one would that be and why?

if living in city with paved roads city idsi all the way
if living in sub urban areas go for corolla
3rd car i would like to ad is mitsubishi lancer
try to get the jdm version with cvt transmission
robust car with good fuel average

Living in City but occasionally have to travel through motorways. Now would you say iDSI ? or if corolla?, if corolla then which model and variant?
Is'nt belta better than lancer?

Corolla is more rigid. You are getting a car that is quite old so Corolla requires less maintenance. In 1.2 million, you can get a nice ninth generation Corolla which will be trouble free.
I would suggest you to look for Altis only as XLis and GLis are used roughly

Mileage of Altis will be okay 11/12/13 tak maximum

i have both belta and city idsi at home
belta is a after thought and is stiffer and has less leg room than city
lancer on the other hand is a complete sedan
if only two people have to sit in the back go with belta
if three than lancer /city
i wont recommend corolla
and always get 1.3 belta 1.0 in underpowered

Bro, In this 1.2 million budget. Don't go for a specific car.
Search for better condition car and go for it.

In my opinion, you will find better condition City iDSI which is better option than Corolla.

Yes, corolla is know for its reliability and has durable suspension. But most corollas you will find from these years (2005-2008) will be abused cars.

But, you will find a lot of better maintained, less driven CITY. It will give you way better fuel mileage and also has less bumpy ride than Corolla. But make sure, you check you cars thoroughly before buying.
