The fuel average change is negligible. You probably won't notice.

In simple words these compressors put slight more load on the engine. (Which is unnoticeable for a 1300cc or a bigger car)

You might notice difference if you drive a smaller vehicle 660/800cc or 1000cc

Hi,i have a 2011 altis 1.6.last year my car met an accident and the AC compressor had to be changed,since then the idle rpm is high and car takes load with AC on and AC trips frequently as well,it drives perfectly well without AC,i have been experiencing reduced fuel economy as well.should i change the compressor?

Which compressor did u installed.Seems issue of wiring rather than compressor itself

Well,my cousin was paying for the damage since he had been driving when it got hit,i got to know only when i was given the car back. I think it is a city's compressor.

If you want Cooling for you and your family, then please do not consider Mieleage /average.

One has to do preference. @chinyoti is right, Big engines will not feel much difference.

I adopted Piston based and cooling is my priority thus ignored all mieleage difference, extra noise, Load difference etc.

Aoa to everyone. I noticed this thread is very informative regarding compressor replacing issue.
I have gli 2010 model. Compressor is already changed jo kafi load daal rha ha jesy gli mn mehran ka engine ho & fuel avg on normal highway is 10km/L.
Every mechanic is giving suggestion to replace it with duet compressor but now i read a reply k fitting sahi nhi hoge tou bracket break hoge & belt ka noise hoga & bychance this shit is happened today.
Now plz advise me with ur experience k konsa compressor lagwaun jis se gari load b na lay aor fuel avg b achi day.

City ka compressor is know to put less load but no idea about it’s performance.
I have 2015 corolla it has a 9th generation corolla compressor and it does feels little heavy with AC on but not much like you are stating and average I get is 15 to 16 on highway max with AC and within city 10 km/l with AC mine is auto transmission.

Koi khas load nae dalta, lekin sensor wala behtar hota hai.

Mne 3 different cities mn visit kiya aor ac walon se mulaqat ki lakin koi b recommend nhi krta. Sb yahi kah rhy hn k wo 4,5 months bad dobara khrab hojaey ga.

Apne kbi sensor wala lagwaya ha. If yes tou kitna arsa chala ??

Just got a quotation for my friend for a 2018 1800cc Cruisetronic Corolla.

Orignal setup rs. 135,000 / rs. 140,000

Kabuli / City wala compressor

Rs. 35,000 in case coil is faulty too, it will cost another 10,000.

No, I haven't replaced sensor wala compressor, just once changed in my father's Gli, abi tak woe chalra hai.

In order to sensor based compressor work for long you need carbon free system and for that you may need to change both condenser and coil along with compressor as they have micro channels that may not be cleaned properly as local AC mechanic guy claim to do cleaning.
And whole system change may cost you more money better to get 2008 corolla compressor as I told you above it won’t put much load but a slight load won’t going to make you feel if hit the AC button. I’m using mine is perfectly performing during summers and as per my personal experience no other compressor performs better after original compressor.

Thanks. Now in my car Mitsubishi compressor is installed & fuel average is 10km/l with ac on highway. My major concern is fuel average bcoz my daily trip is 100km.
Corolla 06 wala compressor agr load ziada nhi daalta tou fuel average proper deta ha ???

Please dont fall for the compressor being the only component applying load, if you install a high cap compressor you will have a lot of issues of energy use (engine load)

Please use whatever the manufacturer has installed unless you replace it with an equal compression and volume type compressor.

Then comes the part of proper heat exchanging capabilities of the system, e.g. if you overcharge ir you will have tons of issues. Undercharging will starve the compressor.

Today i was busy in my ac/compressor issue but problem still exists.
First we installed city 15 model compresser, cooling was awesome but load pahly jesa tha. Then we installed honda Life compressor now cooling is normal & load b ha para.
Ac wala is saying k ap gari theek krwaeyn coz Life ka compressor bilqul load nhi daalta.
Jb k i have already spent alot of money on my car regarding its clutch, injectors, coils, plugs, fuel pump etc.
Now last option is ya engine change krun ya sale kr du qk problem ksi ko pta nhi chal rha.

i asked, do u have any tool to calculate/check load n mechanic said aisa koi tareeqa nhi ha k load ko check kiya ja saky....so there is no sense bro coz m from south punjab. yahan sirf jugaar krny waly hn na k technical.

Any decent scan tool can show you load percentage.

Please dont have your car repaired by people not owning correct tooling
