I need all of your guidance please, I have Gli 2013

Ac is not working properly after 10 minutes it trips down while driving

Can anyone please guide that Compressor is a weak or condenser

If i want to replace both how much it costs

Go to some good ac shop. Get its condensor cleaned with steam and check ac gas level.

Changing condenso will be grave mistake because faulty compressor will inject carbon in new condesor plus if condenser is not leaked its is most probably compressor fault thirdly do bar service charges say better hay do it once

Check your A/c system with some expert A/c shop.
Might be Less refrigerant or minor Leakage could be culprit.

Faulty Compressor in these models does not go alone, if it would be malfunctioning, then it would have released carbon till now in whole system and condenser, inner coils all needs to be replaced

If your car has a genuine compressor.

This car has a common issue the sensor goes bad. And AC trips frequently. If ur lucky it turns on else it doesn't.

Mostly AC mechanics recommend to change the compressor with 2002/2008 compressor since its without sensor and is built for the same engine.

I have done same and its working perfectly for over more then 5 years. I have a 2011 Corolla.

Experts on this forums think the orignal compressor should be fixed or replaced with the same one. But I havnt found anyone able to fix it. And sensor wala new is very expensive too.

The original compressor that comes with 2008 to 2014 Corolla is a newer better model and built for better fuel consumption.

But some how the sensor fails and it doesn't work.

Then that's a common issue.
I have also changed both in my 2016 Altis 1.8 cvti.
I fitted toyota terios clutch type compressor with new condensor last year and its running fine.
Compressor used to trip at signals or idling, and suddenly gave up last year with a loud grinding noise.

True. It's a very common issue and sensor type always give up in non climate control cars. Surprisingly it works pretty fine with climate control. Maybe its due to the fact that we keep temperature at max cooling all the time in non climate control cars. Even coolsun temple road Lahore was selling me sensor type compressor in just 5k without warranty. He said you will come back next year for sure. For clutch type of terios he gave me 3 months warranty at 11k rs. New condensor costed 12k rs and honeywell original gas in 6k rs last year.
I noticed slight difference of fuel economy and that too only while driving in city, before it was 11-12km/l and now its 10-11km/l. On long journeys fuel economy remains the same. 16-17km/l on motorway at 120km/h cruise.

Sadly, same goes for 11th gen..

I also installed duet's compressor in my 2011 gli. It's been three years, and Ac is working perfectly. The only issue i faced is, my car's fuel average has dropped by 2km/l.

Its better to get a 2002/2008 Corolla compressor instead of Terios or duet compressor.

Because it has same fitting. For any other compressor you need alteration or a after market fabricated bracket. Which gets loose by time and makes miserable sound. Also damaged the fan belt.

Same goes for other compressors on 2zrfe. All needs bracket, also it isn't terios kid compressor. Its terios pkdm compressor so it was bigger in size.

Clutch type compressors reduces fuel economy. They put more load on engine as compared to stock one.

The bracket looses with time or often welds break.

I had done this in my Vitz 2002, on one good day the bracket broke, the compressor fell, breaking the fan belt. Causing damage to the power steering and what not.

So simply against jugars.

Got a 2006 Corolla Altis for a cousin it has 660cc car compressor they usually call it terios/ Duet compressor. They usually sell it yeh wala 10,000 ka hai, Corolla ka genuine kabuli bhee 17000 ka hoga yei lagwalein. (Obviusly they get more savings in terios wala compressor available in abundance.)

Its bracket was broken too, they needed a cheap fix got a new bracket for rs.1500

Exact fix would cost a new compressor, condesor maybe coil too roughly 25/30k fix they wanted a cheap fix.

2002 Corolla compressor is a bolt on fit for 2002 to 2020 2NZ 1300cc not sure about 1800cc though.

Plus I have come to this conclusion for one jugar you need to do several other jugars aswell. And you have to keep going to same mechanic.

Use a different size fan belt causing load on the power steering, tensioner, pulley etc saving money for the time being causing bigger damage later.

So better go for original fittings only. Maybe used but bolt on fittings.

Can't do anything. There was nothing that was available in bolt for my engine. The bracket that is fitted is a big one. Driven 25000kms so far, i checked compressor just now after reading this and its nowhere near to loose. I had 3 options, 2006 Altis, duet and terios compressor. Altis and Terios ones were at same price, but terios compressor was bigger and bulkier. Coolsun didn't recommend me duet as duet cabin is way smaller then corolla and its made for that cabin.
Hope this upgrade keeps on serving me well.

Original compressor of this model has cost of 65,000 to 70,000 at Toyota 3S so in this model, my personal recommendation(Although many will not agree, their opinion) but I have observed myself. Complete all new system will cost maximum 30K inclusive of brand new Compressor with 3 years warranty.

Such fragile compressor even if you buy in 70K from 3S will have lesser life.

I am also not in favor of installing Duet/Terioskid or compressors from 660 cc.

I will suggest you to go for Piston type Sanden or Lianden compressor. Sanden 505 or 507 will be better option.

I have installed that in many cars. Even 2 in my home cars too and never got any complaint. Even uptill now, belts are running there even after 4-5 years Jo chal raha hay chalney do, chero nahi

If you are in Karachi, then I can recommend reliable places where I have experienced

I have Change Compressor & Condenser (Malaysian ) it costs around 23k

The alteration also being done, but while reading the above feedback I got upset fro the fuel average in future

In Pakistan it hard to believe

I have got a bigger compressor then even 2002-2008 ALTIS. Don't worry about it. I only felt slight difference in fuel economy within city and no change while driving on highways.
