Toyota Corolla 2015 1.8 Altis MT Acceleration and Engine Noise Issue

Hey Everyone,
I am facing a problem with my car since quite sometime. Had several visits to dealership and they checked and came up with no problem with the car but being the owner of this car for the past 3 years I know exactly what difference is there.
My car is making a hissing/air sucking or pushing type of noise when i accelerate hard which never use to come out before. It started to appear a few months ago. So of anyone could help me on suggesting what the problem could be.

Secondly my car makes a ticking/winning noise between 1000 to 2300 rpm. The sound is the same of engine oil pump when u cold start the car in the morning and the sound it produce drom the tappets while the car is cold.
Checked tappets and they are all fine.

What could be the issue that are prompting me with these two problems.
Please help!

Which engine oil you’re using? Which city?

Im using Toyota Petron Plus oil, city is Peshawar and car is driven 92000KM.

Sir the hissing is from Engine bay and only occurs when I accelerate hard. Im using Toyota Genuine oil filter since day one and using Toyota Petron Plus oil, fully maintained by Toyota 3S.
The engine lacks power somehow, idle is a bit rough and while pushing from lower rpm like 1000 in 2nd gear, the car stumbles and hesitates which i have not noticed in any other car. There is a clear difference in mobility of my car and others. I would suspect of a vaccume leak or something but how to find it? Toyota 3S performs the same tunning and work and cannot diagnose the actual problem.

Check exhuast of the car. Also ensure that air filter is genuine and there is no leak from gaskit of air filter housing.

I’m using liqui moly leichtlauf 5w40 with drain intervals of 10,000kms. I’m purchasing it from their authroised dealer, you can also switch to mobil 1 5w50 and I guess there is authorised dealer of it in Peshawar as well, one of my friend using same oil in his grande in Peshawar, and believe me these issues occur on these oils shell helix ultra

Haseeb bhai how is mobil1 super 2000 5w30 compared to taglon for corolla 2015 1.3, 19100 driven oil change is due at 20k.

locally manufactured and blended oil. My suggestion is to keep warranty and go for tin pack box of toyota oil 5w30 or 10w30. @autophile sir have one friend who used to use it in his gli with drain intervals of 10,000kms, he sold car at 500,000kms without engine overhaul. If you wanna go for german brands than these three are your options
1. Liqui moly leichtlauf hightech 5w40
2. Mobil1 0w40
3. Mobil1 5w50
Purchase oil only from authorised dealer or distributor who will sell you original oil.

Mobil 5w30,10w40 or locally blended and manufactured? My car warranty has already expired so it’s not an issue. Secondly if you’re saying tinpack genuine tmo then from where I can get this oil? Is there any authorised seller of this oil because this oil isn’t available on toyota dealerships. Thanks

Only petron,petron plus and taglon are available here on dealerships in karachi. There is a big market in saddar known as plaza where there are mostly distributors of parts. I will have to get it checked from there that if this oil is available or not. Btw whats the price of that tinpack oil there?

I really want to stick to toyota oils as one of our cars is 86k kms driven on petron and there isnt any problem with it. As petron is available in only 20w50 and 10w30 and I dont think these oils are good for engine with low mileage (correct me if I am wrong). The only options are either taglon or tmo tinpack 5w30 if I want to stick to Toyota oils.

Used petron plus in my car for first 15k kms it was damn noisy, than switched to taglon for next 20k kms. It was good but cold start was rattling and noisy so I switched to liqui moly afterwards and stayed on it as I’m facing no such issues. Price of tin pack one is above 4500 rupees.
If you wanna go for mobil than go for mobil1 only as its imported, and mobil super is blended and packaged in Pakistan, choose any viscosity 5w50 or 0w40, both are working great in grandes of friends with drain intervals of 10k kms

Do not conpare mobil 1 with taglon, that’s like gramde vs mehran. Dozens of dealer amd distributors are available in Karachi, just google
