Toyota is now offering 1.6 in manual transmission, I was really looking forward for a cvt transmission in 1.6.

As of speaking now there is no CVT-I tranny for 1.6. As exciting as it could be, IMC wouldn’t bring CVT on this gen as far as we know.
Maybe they'll implement it for the 12th Gen. Corolla.
I think since yaris isn't getting as many sales as GLi/Xli use to get, since they were very popular specially for rent a cars, since they prefer manuall, they are now turning 1.6 into that category.
