i had an offer of 4.5 lac but at that time i was not in mood to sell but when i decided to sell then i got offers of 2.5. finally i sell her to my mechanic for 3 and later on he sold that for 360k and current owner got an offer of 475 but he is not selling. lol

that was DX variant 1982 model and import year. plain white color 4k carb engine with 4 forward transmission. lahore registered and i was 2nd owner.
i got that car on 228k odo in 2014 and sold on 267k after 02 years and during that time i have done following jobs to make her a daily driven car;
* rings changed due to blue smoke (Rs15000)
* original clutch preasure plate (Rs4500)
* complete air conditioning system installed with genuine cooling coil of 82 corolla Rs:28000
* radiator and shroud Rs 7000
* changed alternator to provide required current Rs 1500
* cdi disteibutor installed for better ignition Rs 5000
* front suspension redone with shocks refill cost Rs 10000
* used watanabe hollow alloys of 13" cost Rs 15000 with brand new tyres Rs 16000
* installed 5 forward K50 transmission cost Rs 13000
* taiwanese tail lights of Rs 2800 i guess
* there were dents on steel bumpers and i got them restored in Rs6000
*rear shocks and suspenaion bushes replacement cost approx 3000

there are few more things which i dont remember.

Engine having (TTC) Toyota Total Clean system carburetor sucks, really difficult to work on without diagram.

the car in picture is not 1982 Corolla.

it is either the 1980 or 1981 corolla patched with door beddings to look like 1982

in 1982 Corolla was launched with flushed door mirrors and bedding on doors, check the chassis & engine data over ID plate in engine bay and use google, you will get complete data of the vehicle with its actual color code & power train

i guess its 82 because it has different bonnet/hood curves than 80 and 81.
dashboard also indicates it 82 model.

its 82 DX variant with window mounted side mirrors. poster is getting SE variant with fender mirrors.
complete pics can clear the confusion.

none of the KE 70 1982 variant ever was produced with fender mirrors.

please share the picture of ID plate in engine bay i can decipher it for you to exact DNA

82 se comes with factory back view mirrors on Fenders and its powered, having adjustment button on dash right side of steering wheel

Thats in UK / JDM (reconditoned) upto Sept 1981 production NOT in GEM 1982 KE 70

further only after 1983-84 when corolla turned to FWD UK models introduced Factory Fitted Aircons before 1983 in UK AC was offered as Option only.

Vin number plate can tell everything even the variant of the car.

Looks like 1982 GL with locally installed power steering power view mirrors over a JDM spec 4K-II engine, while ID plate has simple plain 4K-U engine

the ID plate deciphered, turned out as a different year different model & different power train

Colour is 4A8 which represents "light beige colour" means it's not in original colour.

Checked the original registration book of the car. It is indeed 82. Reconditioned and registered in 1988.

Sir it has factory fitted AC since it's 88 reconditioned SE.
