Can I paint the chassis no. of my car?
Or more precisely I shell ask that which part/area of my car should not be painted if I am painting the whole body of my car?
And can I change the colour of my car, i.e from brown to white/silver/black etc, if I can then what is the procedure for it so that it is also changed in my car's documents........and also how much will be the cost of all this procedure including high class paint and also cost of colour changing in car's documents? I had 1982 Toyota Corolla DX in brown/golden colour.

Hi buddy, im in search of side mirrors for my KE70 (1980). yours is 18 GL i guess, which car's side mirror would adjust best in 80 as originally it didnt came on doors, it came on fenders which I'm not going for due to Karachi's traffic, thieves etc. I want the door ones, but the issue is there's no space to fit them. The triangle space is very small, can you suggest me which car's mirrors i should search for ?
I want square shaped (preferably power mirrors). Can go for manual too, i have options in my mind like;
Corolla 85 & 86
Civic 84,85,86,87
Nissan Sunny 88,89,90

I found Crown 86 side mirrors (auto & retake) for 6,000 in KHI market.

Whats your say ?

quite late but for sake of future search, mercedes side mirror are also an option

Thats a very Relative issue as how much deep you want to go into the swap as doing a perfect and trouble free swap include lots more than physically fitting the engine in the bay .

minimum (basic)you can start driving is from 85K and maximum have no limits .

yeah i remember that charmant its a mixture of many toyota cars run on 4K .

i asked from a mechanic he said stock differential tube wont work with 3s. u have to change it... plus drive shaft.

You have to change the drive shaft partially but the differential will work .
change your mechanic immediately ..he have adequate knowledge on this topic.
i have carried out lots of KE-70 swaps with stock diff ...though you have to switch to LSD later on to enjoy but not necessarily .

Cheers .. I found Crown 87 retract side mirrors and that fitted best with a minor alteration.

Nice to see some healthy discussion regarding this awsme classic model (KE70).

My name is Arbab Musawir and em from Peshawar; InshaAllah in the near future i am about to start a project of building my 82 COROLLA SE and i need some suggestions and tips regarding the following.

1. What engine should i swap with the existing stock engine and for how much? (interested in 2000cc or 1.8)
2. Which Gearbox is compatible with the engine to be swapped (preferably auto)
3. Where can i get complete suspension in accordance to the engine size.
4. Where can i get new best quality spare parts like (tail and headlights, bumpers etc)?
5. Installing an auto gearbox will be a good idea or not?
6. Any other issue which i can face during the project, please feel free to share.
