This accident took place near Bahawalpur. The deceased person's name was Yasir and he was owner of a car showroom.
Now coming to the crash, the car hit a truck / trailer from backside and went underneath it. the initial impact was of roof with trailer and moments later car's front collided with rear tyres of the truck. The head of the person was already chopped off when the airbags deployed. Car was reportedly at speed of 120+ km/h and it never braked rather stopped after collision.
The car did not roll over, instead it was the last moment try to swerve to avoid the collision but the car went underneath. The left front and side collided with the tyre.

The available airbags in the car deployed but there is something called rear collision beam in trucks which is missing in most of the trucks / trailers roaming around Pakistan. If the beam would have been there, the car would have crashed into that beam and airbags would have deployed and there could have been probability of saving life. (Lots of ifs, buts, would have, could have)

In my opinion if there were even 8 airbags, with the chopped off roof, chances of survival would have been slimmer.
The case study for discussion of safety features is not appropriate, the available safety features worked but the speed and recklessness and absence of rear collision beam in trailer grouped and resulted in a disaster.
In this case, a safety feature was missing in the trailer rather that the car.
