Toyota Corolla Altis 1.8 2007

I have bought a toyota corolla altis 1.8 2007 recently. After buying it i got its engine oil changed with Shell Helix 10W40 yellow bottle. Is it good for it? I guess previous owner was using 20W50 which i think is too heavy. Engine is in good nick no blowby.
