Hi, so it is no surprise that Toyota Indus Motor Company finally "launched" a "new" variant of the 11th Generation Toyota Corolla, called Toyota Corolla Altis X. I can say nothing but the fact that Toyota IMC scammed its customers once again for the past 31 years, sorry to say.
To start off, this is the supposedly "Top of the Line" variant, but has introduced features that are highly common in their imported counterparts... since 2001! Why are they introducing "Passenger Seatbelt Warning" for this trim only, which is common even in 90s Toyota vehicles imported from other countries? What are they trying to establish a point with that?
Also, having an electro-chrome rearview mirror for this trim is such a slap to the face of the consumers! This is a fairly common feature in international vehicles, even in economy cars since last decade, yet Toyota IMC decided to play the "Savior" and introduce this feature like Pakistan never saw it. Also, "all-black" interior? Really? THIS is a variant-based option!? Is this a joke?
This variant also has the exact same drivetrain, same transmission, & same engine utilized by the Altis Grande, yet has features less than the former. To top that, having a price tag of 4 million PKR!? If this is not the scam of the year 2021, I really don't know what it is. Besides, Pakistan may be the only country that is forcing the production of a predecessor model whereas literally all the countries elsewhere have switched to the newer, better 12th generation with hybrid drivetrain! I honestly don't know what leads these same "sharks" of automotive industry in Pakistan to continuously scam people and they fall for it repeatedly! They really have not learnt the lesson of extending the production of a model; they really are repeating what they did with 7th generation until 2002.
