Price is 1 crore hybrid top of the line..
If non hybrid top of the line is 7-8 million then going for that makes total sense to me.
If Above 8.5 million then it will become tricky for the petrol variant.
Individual circumstances come into play one has to calculate in how much time they will be able to save 1.5 million or above Rs in fuel savings from the hybrid variant.
Eg if someone drives 30,000 kilometers in one year:
Petrol variant will use 2500 liters fuel at 12 average = 725,000 rupees at 290 rs/liter.
Hybrid will use 1666 liters fuel at 18 avg = 484,000 rupees.
Hybrid will save 241,000 rupees per year.
One will have to drive 30k kilometers every year for ~6 years to make up the extra cost of hybrid if petrol variant is 1.5 million less in price.
Or will have to drive 30k km every year for 8 years to make up 2 million difference.
