The USP for Cross is that it's locally produced, has a Toyota badge and its based on latest (globally current) TNGA platform. Apart from that, you have the mental comfort of having a car backed up by one of the largest 3S networks in the country to support you for service and spares. Other than that, there is nothing really wow about it.
Also comparing it with XI RS makes the least sense even if they both cost similar. Totally different cars with different driving characteristics, practicality and value.
