There are two options if one want to keep warranty, A semi-synthetic TaglonX 5w30 or fully synthetic Taglon 5W50. I am still inclined toward Semi SN 5w30, 5w50 doesn't seem a right choice.
What's experts opinion ? @Xulfiqar Sir any suggestion between these two options.
Guys, 1.6 Altis AT ka motorway pe fuel average kia ha? at 120 kph speed?
Around 16 kmpl
my cousin got13.5 yesterday at 120 with AC lahore to islamabad.
ye 16 kmpl ka avg me kia kia behaviors and oil filter etc use hua ha?
Plus highway pe 80-90 km pe kia avg ha?
I am also more inclined towards lower viscosity oils like 0w20 or 5w30 which can flow better in tight tolerances with less pumping requirements, better heat dissipation. The load capacity, friction loss and wear condition of the bearings are determined by the lubricant and the viscosity of which plays a leading role in the process of hydrodynamiclubrication (crank bearings). The use of lower viscosity oil results in lower hydrodynamic friction loss especially at higher engine rpms thus better fuel efficiency.
Taglon is a trash oil. You are better of using total quartz 5w30. My car which is only 13k driven rattles on idle around 1500rpm when cold. Currently it has taglon in it..The vehicle is corolla 1.3...
Mee too using havoline prds 5w-30 now its 25k kms but 5w-50 wali cars behtreen chal rhin hain plus mostly are getting even better mileage. Manual allows all viscosity ranges as well. Somehow taglon by idemitsu available now has zero issues with the car . So many friends using and car is super smooth and excellent mileage as well
Seems like i have to sacrifice warranty to save the engine by using fully synthetic 0w20/5w30 Liquimoly or mobile 1 or amsoil.
Warranty doesnt get void. I m using 5w-30 since day1 by bringing my own oil and never had issues when i claimed. I claimed twice. Once for seat and secondly for head unit replacement to 2gb version . I will soon switch to 5w-50 as the real life experience of friends using it shows that it is very decent oil and do remember its now idemitsu one not the old taiwan one
I am using Taglon X (5w-30) in my Altis 1.6. Change interval time is after 3500 km in summer.
I have tried it and wasn't very satisfied with its performance, so I switched to Havoline ProDS 5w30, and believe me, it was much better than Taglon X. So I suggest you try it as well.
The rest is your choice.I hope it helps.
I've use Total Quartz 9000 and Havoline in my cars in past, but problem is stealership insist on Toyota oils, where I can see two options Semi-Synthetic TaglonX 5w30 or SN Taglon 5w50
Yes, in between these two, Semi-Synthetic TaglonX 5w30 is better.
Warranty claim (Allah na karay nobat aey) say darta hun bhae. Warna previously i was using Havoline 5w30 (Golden box) in my 1.3 corolla GLI.
Yes, I'm aware of that, but just like brother @fastian04 said that it doesn't void the warranty, so maybe if you coordinate with him, he can help you in telling you the way that how he managed to bring his own oil to the dealership and get the service done.
I hope it helps.
Sure lemme know if in Lahore. There is no law that can impact ur warranty. On the other side the 5w-50 is a decent oil and has all the good reviews from real customers. U can use any oil of your choice and take it to dealership
I am also getting 15-16 km/l on motorway @120km/h .. 20k driven
What issue did you face in passenger seat ? I didnât face it earlier but niw i think itâs slowly building up
My seat used to rattle as most of the cars. I got it replaced. And now itâs perfect
Mine doesnât rattles. Now from few days it starts vibrating but doesnât produce any squeking noise..
