It might be the cat eys, these metal evils when cut are sharper than knives and i never understand why they install them on motorways or highways. I myself encounterd an accident due to them while coming back downhill from abbottabad and had a broken arm.

My cousin bought honda city i guess in 2014. He went to hunza in his new car and came back from babusar route which had very bad patches. At least one of the tyre got damaged. He went to honda 3S and got the replacement under warranty which was claimed through Euro Star. You can also try your luck with toyota.

I guess Tires have no warranty as they lie under rubber parts.

Thanx ALLAH that u r safe.. try to avoid fuel stations and tyre shops on motorway and if thre is no other choice thn always keep an eye.. i had that tyre burst incident once in my civic due to a damaged cateye on highway near Hasanabdal.. now i suspect k petrol pump pe tyre shop wale ne kuch kiya ho ga as i got my tyres air pressure checked and after a while that happenned. But us waqt is cheez ka idea ni tha k ye bhe kr skte hain log.

I didn't actually stop at the fuel station. I just mentioned it because the construction area ended right at the motorway stop. I do get my air pressure checked before leaving right from a tire shop near my home. I do get my car refueled but I'm always out of the car for that just to make sure they don't overfill the tank.

This incident was quite a shocker for me. I will check with Toyota for warranty and with AdamJee for insurance and will update here regarding how it proceeds.

And yes, the most important part is that everyone was safe Alhamdulilah.

Apke tyre ko intentionally cut kiya gya he if you stopped at any service area. Had the experience of same thing at Sukheki while travelling from Fsbd to Lahore. Tyre shops guys at service area cut tyres or something like that so that when you see a flat tyre, you don’t have any option other than buying tyres from them at ridiculous prices.

Happened same to my Santro in 2015 when I left sukheki service area and I was driving at 130 and hardly 5 mins later the rear tyre burst making a loud noise. Always used to wonder what had happened to the tyre within 5 mins because it was absolutely fine at the service area.

Recently saw videos on social media related to this scam by tyre shops

Hmmm only thing, I just slowed down there but never got air filled or even a refill. The construction site seems a more probable thing for such a sudden burst.

What's the best oil for grande? I've no idea about oils and their affect on car's performance so excuse me for the ignorance. My grande will be 10k in a couple days and I was wondering if the oil dealerships provide are OK, if not which oil is better and do they allow you to bring your own oil ?

I have booked grande in the mid of last month in Karachi with TDD of October. I haven’t got any response from dealer or IMC. Infact IMC phones are down since past 2-3 days. While speaking with dealer last week, the dealer told me that the reason it’s taking that long is due to the color issues with both grey and silver and mine is booked in graphite grey. While black, white etc can be available within no time. What could be the main issue with the delay? Any help will be appreciated.
