Kindly confirm which Engine oil comes prefilled in corolla 1.3 and its drain interval? Yesterday I was at 3s dealership for 1000km service they said first oil change is due at 5000kms.

Drain interval is 5,000 kms. Not sure which oil is in engine. Engines are not assembled, manufactured in Pakistan and are imported from other Toyota plants abroad so they are probably filled there.

What if car doesn't achieve 5k in three months, then is there allowance to go beyond three months like four to five months ?

6 months or 5000kms, whichever comes first

CVT is geared towards fuel economy and smoother ride. It is not a performance-based transmission. It is also laggier than a good non-CVT tranny. I've found the paddle shifters on all these cars to be completely useless.

Paddle shifters helps a lot in hilly terrain while going downhill, I used them a lot while coming back from naran/babusar-pass. Just down shift when you need engine breaking by pressing down shift lever and then press and hold, up shift lever for 2 to 3 sec to put transmission back to auto mode, no need to put it in manual mode from the lever, it helps a lot.

Not sure why u found paddle shifters to be useless..they are pretty responsive and helps in immediate acceleration but on downhill as well.

They’re of little to no use downhill because even in gear 1 the car easily speeds up to 40-50km/h. There’s very little engine breaking. I have the civic turbo and I owned the 9th gen civic too. The actual 1st gear on the 5 speed civic provided significantly more engine breaking.

Since Corolla 1.8 cvt does not have D2, D3, L gears being a CVT, that's why manual up and down shift is provided.

Has anyone installed OEM legroom illumination? Just curious about it function.. i once saw a markX , its legroom light brightens as the door opens else wise its dim.. will it be the same?

I have got a new 1.6 altis. Recently hit 1200km. Went to the dealership today bt was sunday so they were not open. Might go tomorrow. So what engine oil should i use also when should i change it? Because i have no idea what oil was in it in the first place.

Toyota Taglon and change after 5000kms

Taglon after every 5000 Kms.
At 5000 odo buy 4 ltrs and a 1 ltr pack.
Use 4.2 ltrs and keep 0.8 ltrs with u so at next change.
At 10,000 odo buy only 4 ltrs pack cuz u already have an extra 0.8 ltrs to fill in 4.2 ltrs total. But make sure you use the old 0.8 ltrs completely and save 0.6 ltrs from the new bottle as its better not to keep unsealed oil for a longer period.

Doesn't Altis 1.6 require 3.8 liters and Altis grande requires 4.2 liters of engine oil?
