I've always wondered, what's the difference in flipping the conventional mirror up and down at night and between the auto dimming? Is it just the Auto part ya is there better diffusion of high beams with the auto dimming mirror?

Also, when do you use the back mirror normally? It's not used on highways and neither in the city to change lanes. And specially not while reversing. It's my first Sedan type car and I see myself not using the back mirror for the most part. Only side mirrors for changing lanes for the most part.

mine is driven on rough roads and i can tell you its not a pleasant experience. it absorbs the bumps really good but the squeaks are inbearable.

Corolla is famous as a rough and tough car and ironically ive yet to see its tough part.
It does absorb the big bumps if youre going slow. Thats not a problem.
The agony starts if youre going at speed on a well paved road and suddenly encounter patchwork area or small cateyes or cuts on the road that are made to pass small pipes/wires. The jerk travels through the body and the steering. The whole dashboard can be seen shaking. This is the reason of squeaks and rattles. I can predict more rattles to come given the type of suspension setup this car has. Cherry on top is 55 profile tires.

I have a 7th gen civic as well that has been tested through times and this Corolla is just a baby as compared to the beating that car has endured all over Pakistan. Even after that there is not a single ( I dont want to exaggerate) not a single rattle in its dashboard over potholes.

Pakistanis have a habit of praising any thing they have therefore the fanboyism doesnt bother me.

Yes I can close my eyes and jump on the bandwagon singing songs about its greatness but that only a stupid can do.

This car has a problem with its suspension setup and combine that with the shit interior quality, rattles are here to stay.

My 2006 250,000 k driven corolla doesn’t rattle as much as my 2015 model does.
The door moulding make too much sound..

In auto dimming, you do not need to press the lever to switch between day and night modes. The auto dimming mirror that I have got gives better view than the night mode of stock mirror. When there is no vehicle with strong light behind, it adjusts itself and makes the view clear.

The rear view mirror works best with wing mirrors, you can adjust wing mirrors and rear view mirror to cover most blind spots.

My dashboard was also opened twice for squeeks. They are gone now but disappointing ofcourse. My 2nd car is honda city 2015 27k driven more than my corolla altis and not a single squeek in honda. Its driven by the driver mine is single hand driven

That knock type sound that comes from the dashboard, what was the reason? And was it solved? I hear that sometimes too in my gli 2018 while accelerating and sometimes decelerating.

The dashboard of current corolla is fixed into pieces. And those two with poor quality clips. My ac guy removed the entire dash and fix3d it again by inserting packing along. The noises were gone but then another wire was loose behind the android panel which wqs doing tick tick . Its a shame how such big plastic pieces are fixed using such thin poor quality clips. At least the local vendors should ve made the clips thick enough.

Depends which type you have. Toyota generally recommends changing transmission fluids between 45-5- K kms or two years.Check your car's user manual.
