I would say Altis is atleast 20% faster. City auto..just lags and takes pickup gradually..due to low end torque

Imagine if they introduce a CVT-i transmission on 1.6, Altis would suddenly become the best selling car but I doubt that they would do it since it would reduce the sales of Grande.

Bhai cvt cannot do magic..even in other countries you can always find a 1.8 or 2.0 liter version..1.8 suits corolla weight ans perhaps that's why available in almost every country.1.6 valvematic like singapore would have been another story but then price will be again close to 3 million with climate control etc. Imc needs to compete with civic and if you remember back in 2012, the launched full option Altis with 1.6 engine...and it never was a competition for rebirth despite being a very good car. So probably 1.8 suits the marketing trend as well

1) We recently booked an Altis 1.6 with full payment but when I check online for delivery status it shows error. When do the details get uploaded ?
2) The dealer gave me Photocopy of the PBO form (customer copy). I didn't knew that original customer copy was of green color. Did he forgot to gave me the original copy or is he trying to mischief me?
This is the first time we have booked a new car that's why didn't knew about these things.

if they did that the price difference between altis 1.6 and 1.8 would decrease and it would make more sense to go with 1.8 cvt-i then due to ectra features and changes it has like drls cruise control etc.

One more thing is extended warranty necessary or is there any advantage of it in the long run ? apart from the fact one has warranty for parts. And I have gone through the thread and noticed that customers are being looted by Toyota dealers when going to them for regular 5000 km service. For eg oil filter costing upward of RS 1600+, where as one can buy the ORIGINAL one from outside for
850-900rs. And high labor charges which includes sales tax. Generally how much an oil change costs including labor for an Altis 1.6 ?

Online status will give error till the payment is confirmed by Indus. No need to worry. It's normal. 2ndly, yes u should get green bottom bordered customer copy of PBO. Dont worry, no mischief as such, just a care free attitude by the dealer. Do contact him again and demand it. If he says hanky panky, simply tell i contacted indus and they have guided me to must get that green copy.

They keep the original PBo with them so taht it doesnt get misplced n creates some issues at delivery time .
Extended warranty depends uupon ur maintainence style . If u want ur car to be maintained by indus the u can get else no use .
I believe instead of paying these looters pay for a good oil n buy from ur trusted shop . Rest all warranty is bullshit . U ll have to be extremly luckg to claim something from them . I choose better oil instead of dealership . Cz in my city dealership is not available . Agr hta dealership to it would have been a different story

Thanks for clearing the air regarding PBO form.
I want the car to be in warranty for the period of 2 years so I guess i have to buy oil and oil filter from them. Will definitely talk to them regarding bringing my own oil filter element. Will not go for extended warranty as it's just a waste of money, 38 k is too much for it !

Salaam sir. Saw your video. Got a few questions.
1) Where is the aux port in this car ? Before October 2018 it was near the gear shift knob. Has it been removed?
2) Is there an option to insert data Sim in the Android unit ? Or do we have to use USB WiFi dongle for internet ? And can we insert additional SD card for storage?
3) Does Google maps work fine during driving like whether it hangs or not? And how is the accuracy of the GPS.
4) How many max apps we can install, I Know it depends on the size but if I want to install Gmail , Facebook , Waze etc does it hangs or becomes slow when running these apps ?

Walaikum Asalam... So here are the answers
1. USB port next to the charging socket but i haven't seen 3.5mm jack to plug in the cable
2. There is no option for Data sim you will have to use wifi dongle or mobile hotspot and you can install SD card in it
3. Google map work perfectly fine and they don't hang.. GPS accuracy is perfect
4. Its not meant to install multiple apps.. If you install too many it will start slowing down... I use Google maps, YouTube and normal music and radio apps which work absolutely fine

Aux cable is in glove box, cable for 3g device port is also there
