After running 500KM in city with low speed, took a test drive on KhI-Hydearabad motorway. In Karachi it was giving maximum 8.5 km/l, I was aware it will increase with respect to time. But Allhamdullilah was surprisingly got 17.1 km/l on highway, with A.c on and speed 90-100 km

with the current prices, its unlikely that they would experiment with anything new.. The people who could buy Altis before can now buy hardly 1.3 basic variants so its unlikely ....
Always calculate average using tank to tank method. These figures are mostly bs and actual value is at least 1.5KM/L less than on the display.
Great average is because of the manufacturer stickers still on the dials.
I have same variant and it gives good mileage due sticker . Once i took sticker off it reduced to 11.8 .
gear shifter lock release. in case it is stuck then you can insert car key and release it to shift it to neutral for towing etc.
