The sports mode in flgrande along with ecomode is just a marketing gimmick as both do not have any affect on actual performance of the car it was also stated by suneel manj in the review of fl grande.

yeah i know but suneelmunj stated in the review of this car that for a car to have sport mode there should also be a button for normal mode and eco mode which it doesn,t have.

Suneel.sb review missed a lot of things..anyone with this car can confirm u sport mode change the virtual gear ratio and hear changes at higher rpm... so difference is there

Secondly same functionality was offered world wide. Pakistan was not different at all, so Toyota definitely cannot sell something fake and that too world-wide .no where in the world there was an eco mode in corolla e170 as highlighted by munj sb... sometimes due to so many reviews some basics get skipped

I have noticed one thing in the headlight, the right headlight leans a bit towards right and left headlight is a bit upward
More importantly can anybody explain the features of Grande’s headlight I simply don’t understand what is auto levelling blah blah blah

The "tilt"in headlights are mandated by law. Cars in left hand drive countries have this tilt in the right light to avoid glare for incoming traffic. Auto leveling makes sure that the beam focuses on the road i.e. when you're going down a hill a regular light will focus off the road into the air and reduce visibility. Auto leveling headlight adjust to illuminate the road

That is so because oncoming traffic is on your right so left headlight beam is upward and right cannot be other wise it will disturb oncoming traffic
Auto leveling is that when the car is not at a straight level the beam will adjust up or down for example if you have lots of luggage and 5 people then the back end of the car will be much lower and the beam higher slightly to to back end being lower so auto level will lower the light too. Same case if you brake hard the rear end of the car will be higher and front end lower so headlight will adjust upward

Yes they do. Just watch it from outside at an angle it will show, will be more visible if a bit of fine dust layer is on the glass.

If IMC can introduce CVT in a compact sedan like Yaris then why couldn't they equip one in the 1.6 Altis Corolla? They could still do it or were they afraid 1.6 would cannibalize sales from the top variant Grande?

Is it because of the passage of time where they got to practice with Grande’s CVT and ensured that they can deal with the CVTs and therefore brought Yaris with the confidence that it can do well with the CVT?

I believe, in the current Yaris lineup, there's no automatic, right? So no automatic, which is nice as it will make the car economical.

However, it outrageous that they paired 1.6 Altis Corolla with an old 4-speed gas-guzzling auto? 1.6 is not a car for short trips.
