Well the world doesnt just end on merc and bmw there are other cars also and what you think its easy to own a civic or corolla then what about mehran and cultus do those people say what you are saying now? that the debate should be about civic etc that is not the case at all the goal is to be happy with what you have .

I think he wanted to say that he wished there were no inflation as it is nowadays. Grande launched at 2.4M now costs 4M+. Civic oriel cvt launched at 2.7M now costs 4M+. City launched at about 1.2M now costs 2.4M( one could buy Grande or Rebirth back in 2015).
I know that features have been added at least in case of Corolla but price increase is INSANE. My uncle bought Gli MT in 2015 for about 2M. Which new car can you buy in that price? Cultus, Wagon r or Alto i.e, only a hatch.

The price inflation is just insane, i literally couldn't believe that an Altis 1.6 Auto came at about 21.5 lakh back in 2017 (Facelift). Another example would be the fortuner, 2nd generation launched in 2016-2017, was at about 50-55 lakh and now 90 lakh with registration ️
