Toyota Corolla Engine Swap

Good day folks, i recently got into modifications and all and decided i want to engine swap my Corolla GLI 2018 to either a 1 JZ-GTE or a 1U but im not sure which one will be better, not leaning towards a LS1 because of the wiring and the costs. Need some advice which engine i can use and whether it has been done before, if its a good idea at all or not and if yes which mechanics i can go to to get it done

You need to get some homework done before claiming to fit inline6 and V series engines in sedan level corolla..which is only good for inline4 light weight econo engines

google and read swap articles projects and you may know and learn alot...

its not a thing which just comes offering money...theres more into it... advice is to read learn

If he knows what a 1JZ-GTE and LS is, he probably knows these are a RWD engine. Likely a troll..

Did you randomly just google a bunch of performance engines and decided you want to swap them in your Corolla?

I didnt google performance engines and ask in the forums, as i said i recently got into this all and i dont know much about it.

Not a troll, and i wasnt aware that they are RWD Engines, orry about that, anything you can suggest? I want to engine swap as i feel my car is sluggish, nothing too extreme

Engine change is only recommended in the following two situations.

Your old engine has died out or giving black/smoke

You have a spare car on which you want to get creative

Don't perform swaps on you main car without any valid reason.

Start researching on 2zzge engine and it's swap.

Before diving in to this world head first I would recommend you to do your homework first. A 2ZZ should be relatively easy to swap in a Corolla. I know a guy with a 2ZZ in a 2013 GLi and that car is very nice.

I would suggest you to not ruin a perfectly running car, this would be an experiment which will either fail miserably, or cost you more than the price of your car. Buy something cheap like a Khyber, Charade, KE70, anything around 2-3 lakh, fix it up, decide an engine for it, swap everything in it and drive/use it, make it better, reliable, etc. Once you get the hang of what it takes to swap, diagnose, fix and maintain a swapped car, sell it and buy something better, or better yet, dive into your 2018 GLi with a 2ZZ swap.
