hydraulics are commonly known as dabbo and shims are available but the mechanic has to have correct tools for such precision work.. and a reason to do such shim placement.
5W-30 or 10W-40 is good, though 20W-50 is also mentioned in user manual (which i believe is plain copy paste printing from old school user manuals).
