However, if you're only considering new cars go for the gli hands down, only thing you'll miss by choosing the gli over city is acceleration and high speed stability and even those not by a lot.
You're correct but new gli auto is 2.85m add in taxes and registration and you've gone over 3m. Too much for even the altis 1.6 at this point.
I agree to every point u highlighted bhai.problem is awaam..they still consider 1.3 more fuel efficient..then cry after buying..
city has nothing except better mileage no features at allno change since 2009
Mileage is only good in manual variant..auto is not up to mark..it consumes more fuel than 1.8 civic in reality

Its not our problem what people think. OP asked for our opinions i gave mine. @tafveez the grande cvt and civic cvt are more fuel efficient than the gli/xli and city auto. Go for them if a used car and slightly higher maintenance costs are not aproblem for you.

Then go for the gli auto hands down. Other than the comfort, the overall quality and interior as a whole is a much more pleasent place to be in the corolla.
It is, relatively however the fuel consumption still isnt that great compared to others. The city still is a 10 year old car now, it has no business still being sold in nearly 2020
It is..but transmission makes a lot of difference sir. Prosmatec gear in city is just too heavy for it...car literally needs 3000rpms to shoot up in auto...someone who likes the acceleration has not driven anything better. Manual city is responsive and far better
Most of the people have suggested Toyota GLi so far. Difference of fuel average (1-2) km/liter only, and a little sluggish but better comfort and better safety (Airbags).
Get gli auto..u will be enjoy much better car..mosre spacious, a lot more comfy and much more rugged and solid.

Almost same as 9-9.5kmpl..max 10 if u drive with light foot in city...12-13 walay meter drama hai..only..i m talking tank to tank. But Corolla is much more stable, comfortable and spacious
Also keep airbags in mind..they are the most important for life safety
Bhai ap ki bat mujhey pasand ae. Logo ney showroom condition me b gariya rakhi hoti hain, 1,2 saal older model he sahi but get a better variant. If not find any of your choose then go for new car.
