As per the owner, the best thing about this car is its suspension and road grip. "Even on roads of Karachi, this car gives a smooth ride, while its road grip is excellent even on very high speed," he told us.Price and Purchase Decision
The owner told us that he wanted a different car. "We also have Honda Civic RS Turbo, but this time we wanted a different purchase, so we decided to get this hybrid Corolla," the owner said.
Discussing the price, the owner said that it costs you around Rs. 6-6.5 million, if you import it from Japan.
Fuel Average
As this is a hybrid, it gives the owner around 24-25km/liter on average. "This car remains on all EV for maximum time compared to other hybrid cars like Prius," he said.Battery Charging
The owner told us that the battery charges seamlessly during the drive, which is great because it is totally hassle-free.Interior
The head and legroom at the front seats are ample, making the drive very easy. "However, only two adults and a child can sit comfortably on rear seats," the owner told us.
Furthermore, the car's build quality is exceptional because it is a Japanese car. "There is no cabin noise, and seats are very comfortable for drive and travel," the owner stated.

As per the owner, the car's adaptive cruise control is excellent, and it works efficiently. "It applies brakes automatically if there is a hurdle in front and then take it to the cruise speed by itself," he explained.
Moreover, the car comes with digital dual-zone climate control, meaning driver and passenger can set the temperature as per their comfort.
Safety Features
The Corolla Hybrid 1.8 has 8 airbags, ABS + EBD, adaptive cruise control, ISOFIX, lane assist, among others. "The lane assist gives a little shake to the steering when the car diverts from the lane," the owner said, adding that these features make it great for long routes.Trunk Space
As per the owner, the trunk space of this car is not that much as the battery is placed in the rear. "You cannot put big suitcases in the trunk, which is a setback," the owner said.Key Issues
As it is a Japanese car, its ground clearance is a serious issue on local roads. "If there are 3-4 persons in the car, its lower body will hit the speed breakers," he said. The second issue is this car's interior space. "It is not as spacious as the local cars like if you compare it with Grande, it has less space in it," the owner explained.Maintenance
The owner said that one of Toyota's good things is sharing car parts as they put the same pieces in different cars. "This makes the availability of spare parts easy. Also, you can easily import parts of Toyota Corolla Hybrid 1.8 from Japan which arrive in 10-15 days," the owner said, adding that hopefully, this car's parts will be available in the local market soon.
Talking about periodic maintenance, the owner said that he had driven this car only 2,000 kilometers, so he hasn't gone for maintenance. "But I think it will cost you around Rs. 5-6,000," he said.
