Prefer getting work done from khan motors denter haji.

This time got it done from shaukat autos phase 2, opposite aone snacks. Since he was the only guy who said rubbing/polishing would work. And said would complete the job in 2 days ( although he took 4)

Everyone else was telling me to repaint the car.

Honestly not 100% results. But alot better then what I expected. This is a 15/16 year old car. Sun burn marks are there.

Front driver door, rear left door, rear left fender, roof, boot, bonnet still need to repainted properly.

But atleast the car looks presentable now.

Yup, paint looks a lot better now, hence the reason I asked. Did your denter procure the weather strips himself? I'm getting a Civic painted by a denter in phase 2, he says he has worked at Shaukat for a long time, and I like his work. So I'm assuming Shaukat wale does good work. Also, wax the car, that would further add depth to the paint.

I guess it depends. Where ever you feel you get a good crisp, wet paint look I guess its good much.

I'm happy with the paint job. He did a good job.

Didn't get a chance to wax or polish it. Had to return it before Eid. So they can enjoy it over the Eid break.

The engine of this car is weak. Didn't feel any oil burn at 10W40. But 4 to 6 months tops it will need engine work.

Yea the paint looks pretty good in the pictures. If it's not burning oil, I think it can go another 25-30K kms. These Toyota engines are loud above 2000 revs generally because of (1)the plastic IM which leaks, (2) timing chain which slacks over time and the tensioner not working, and (3) hydraulic tappets. These are just my observations.

On 10W30 on hi revs the car was giving white/burned smoke.

Didn't see that once I have changed to 10W40. Let's see for another 500 kms if its eating/burning oil or thicker oil resolved it.

This particular 1800cc engine is prone to eating oil after a particular age. (Not a very good/long life toyota engine what i have heard from alot of people)

This problem was only in earlier 1zzfe models in later ones Toyota resolved this problem by adding new oil rings. @Xulfiqar Sir can elaborate this better.

This is 2006. Not sure if has new rings or not.

2006 model is towards end of this engine's production

This engine has come in the next (10th gen aswell) till 2011 before facelift.

Started in 2005 June with se saloon changed into Altis and lasted in 10th Generation till 2011

Then replaced with 1600cc

I've blown up two of these by running them about 20k on a single oil change so i don't durability would be the least of your concerns

Sir yahan bat Pakistan ki horai hai, and you mentioned indus motors changed rings on the later models. Since mine is 2006 and later might be 2007 or 2008 or maybe even 2011.

Thats why I was asking you.

Old belt ia completely destroyed so unable to know exact size.
