my dumba's power windows work even when the car is off? What's the possible problem? Car has been engine swapped with a premio wala 1ZZ FE if that's related.

hahaha, my E140 altis had this issue, wiggle the ket in ignition and it will go away, it happens when ignition points are a little bit dirty and current leaking here and there. hope it helps

Can any brother please explain that is it true that dumba shape is more reliable than 10th generation Corolla as 10th generation had many electrical faults such as rpm fluctuation, missing, maf sensors and AC compressor etc.

10th Generation has more localization, Maybe some quality issues, But it is more or equally reliable then the Dumba Corolla.

10th was obviusly designed after keeping 9th flaws in mind.

I've been in countless, both pre and post, both abused and Factory condition kept, def not something of my liking, heavily prefer a 9th over it. The auto is somewhat a good one in the post facelift, the manual i find as a garbage by my liking and absolutely hate the pre facelift at all costs. Obviously someone might have diff opinions.

9th gen Xli/Gli/Se/2D lack a bit on brakes...

had kept a few Se saloons (auto,stock, no cng)and front left wheel lock up was almost unavoidable..

that era there was CNG boom and everyone had big heavy CNG cylinder at back making the COG shift towards back which made the situation even worse..

then they introduced rear wheel disk brakes in Gli n above, didnt help either..

stop signals always scared me in summers, suddenly signal get red, u apply brake and listen the front left wheel locked and start singing or screaming watever u say...

ABS ( in altis only ) solved it 99% Alhamdolillah, and some units came with silver brake calipers from factory which are identical to camry/premio/prius improving brakes even better

E140, due to wide body and shape generally have got better braking even in Xli, and ABS is standard from GLi n above, so i guess brakes shud be the turning point

Altis cars are very reliable in e140 10th gen.
İt's only 1.3 that gets the blame.
And also let's not forget the compressor.
