if you are going to have your gear box opened up again then ask your mechanic to send your clutch plate , pressure plate and fly wheel to the kharadia for facing.

our GM had me change his clutch plate but forbid me to get it refaced. So what happened (toyota 97-98 model) that after 7-8 days the clutch failed totally. So you have to remember to always get the fly wheel refaced from a good Kharadia it you don't want your car to give Ghatka or or to vibrate excessively on gear change

Bearing should always be replaced when changing the clutch plate.

I have two corolla 98 model and 2007 model. In the 98 model i had changed the clutch to Aisin. Cost at that time was around 6500 or 7000 with bearing and in the 2007 corolla original OEM (Rs. 13750) was used.

The Aisin clutch was hard and the OEM clutch was soft. However the Aisin clutch became softer after some running / time

Ok as per my mechanic there are two qualities which comes in Aisin.. One is a cheaper one and the other one is the genuine one. I had an argument that how it is possible. Upon this he said both are good. You can opt for which ever you wants. If you want to keep the car for a longer run, you can get the genuine one. I got the genuine one. Im not sure about the brand though as i didnot see the bill which is a mistake on my part.

Few days back - @AsifAslam took it for photography to Hyderabad for Marcopolo Events covering Engro Highway was 14 - 15kms /ltr - 4ppl with their photography/video gadgets.

In city I assume close to 12kms/ltr , tune-up was done start of this year, later only air-filter replaced at oil-change.

My fathers 2011 Gli MT does 12 to 14 km/L in City aswell. It must be lighter then 10Th Gen.

My father has a very light foot and turns off AC frequently

1.3 Gli it was with me for around a year before I got WagonR. (Father drove Vitz then)

I can by confident say Corolla had a better fuel average then my WagonR

I have a neighbor Xli 2016 claims in City 14 - 15 per ltr.

For highway he says 17-18/ltr

I will says well maintained car gives good fuel ave with light-foot and switch off A/C on engine load situations: like crossing raised speed breaker, driving with 4 - 5 passenger and going for speedy-take off at green light helps this 1.3cc engine to perform well with low fuel consumption, rather then injectors burning fuel more to follow the command.

if you are getting 10/ltr, this means getting 12km/ltr not that far, keep your foot at light pedal control, on initial gears you can get the max power on light acceleration, rather then pressing the pedal more then needed.

Ok.Does newer corollas with vvti like 10th and 11th generation have problem that when u uninstall it's battery for like 3 months and then u reinstall it and it's fuel economy gets worsened and gets back better after driving for some time.
