original steel rims are better as conpared to chinese alloys which are eveb heavier than steel rins in some cases.

chinese rima prove to be notorious when it comes to wheel balancing and take a lot of wheights to get proper balance.

steel rims ride like car is on rail tracks and provide more stability.

steel rims can take a lot of pounding before getting damaged.

orig8nal branded alloys r lighter and can play a bit 8n gett8ng betfer fuel economy also better cornering and nippy acceleration.

as ny rolla was neglected for long, i went on and did some necessary maintenance.

replaced rear shocks lower bushing.

replaced a rear wheel hub

replaced front balance rod D bush.

a month ago suddenly i started smelling compressor oil in cabin, suspected evap leakage.

got the evap replaced with similar unit and got the ac back on line.

old bangers glory restores Alhandolillah, now its time to drive it till i enjoy its smooth soundless comfort and get my hands on some other ride.

Salam All,
To resolve the rumbling and rough idling issue, im thinking to replace my spark plugs. Im using Iridium plugs but not sure about the model. Can anyone confirm which number to be used in corolla 2008?

You are right about bumper scratches issue in Karachi but even the, i will suggest you to paint it, it is giving very ugly look to be frank and also degrade whole car's aesthetics.

Do it at least one more time before the end of 2021

If you got the trip meter zero after refill then its a very decent fuel average. 88 kms without any reduction in fuel guage

I bought them used from my mechanic some 20k km before. As my car issue related to rumbling is not solved and mechanic is reluctant to even consider it as an issue. When the rpm is at 1200 and 1800 and car is engaged in the gear, the vibration is quite noticable and can be felt in the dashboard and in teh cabin.
In neutral when i rev the rpm to 1200 or 1800 i can still feel the vibration but when i engage it in the gear it enhance. Unable to trace this issue and secondly idling is rough. I have gotten throttle body serviced, IACV cleaned rpm adjusted but after sometime it drops to 500. This is the reason im thinking to swap the plugs. Previously im using denso one, not sure about the code but they have increased my car average say 1 to 1.5 kmpl

The pay slip 1020 fuel filled almost 7 litres, is after driving 88.4kms comes to 12.64 kms/liter.

Keeping vehicle all stock helps better mileage.

No reduction in fuel guage after consumption of 7 Litres emplies that fuel guage or fsu is not functioning accurately.

Fuel guage is divided in 4 equivalent bold bars where each bar level depicts value in Litres. Divide your total fuel capacity in 4 then you will get idea that how much litre is contained in 1 bold bar. There are then also thin bars in guage.

7 Litre should be clearly reflected on correct fuel guage.

I have changed the mount. The rumbling need to be resolved first along with the idle rpm. I shall get the new plugs and shall update you in this forum.
I replaced the main mount of engine which has a long bracket. Do I need to check other mounts.

I replaced the mount which is right at the back of the engine? Is this the transmission mount? I suppose its the engine mount. Where the transmission mount is located. Please guide.
