Please suggest me any good/suitable/relevant OBD scanner for se saloon'04 auto with her own engine 3zzfe.

Online i have seen elm327 obd scanners. With different price. How to know the right one?

According to this video. To my understanding any obd scanner of version 1.5 is suitable. Right ?

I am never a fan of these.

They would only keep troubling your mind. Zindagi mei pehli hee bohat siyape hain.

Jab tak gari theek chalrae hai let it be.

Once check light shows up, take it your regular mechanic they won't charge you anything for scanning the car.

I joined Dumba club in Jan-2022 Alhamdulillah.
Got GLi 2007.

I’ve been reading the forums and 02 things keep bothering me which seem different in my car than the others.

1) As far as my knowledge, 1.3 engine of GLi/XLi is 2NZ-FE. However in my car, the intake manifold is from 1NZ-FE.

Please let me know will this cause any problem? Car runs absolutely fine.

2) there is a black verctical box behind the air filter box. I’ve seen many cars but couldn’t find the box in any of the cars except mine.

One thing important to mention is once there was some problem in starting of car, one of my drivers spanked that black color box a couple times and then the car was started.

My wild guess is that box is probably the fuel pump? Correct me if I’m wrong.

That's charcoal canister.

as mentioned above, its charcoal canister, part of EVAP, u might be hearing purge valvue operating right after driving car for a min.

Im not sure if 2NZ FE is equiped with this or not but its there in 1ZZ FE variants.

1NZ FE is 1500cc as compared to 1300cc 2 NZFE

please check and confirm the engine number from the excise document to know whether the engine is swapped or not.

Other guess is that only the intake manifold is swapped with 1NZFE, as the internal galleries get damaged and produce a weired sound after a certain period of time.

the Potentiometer attached to right shock piller is to adjust the AFR of car, better dont fiddle with it if its set at factory position.
