this car wont return you more than 10 Km/l.
and in worst case scnerio you can expect that you are running a compressed V8.
to improve fuel consumption bring the car as close to stock postion as possible.
to start with maitenance:
-change the spark plugs, it takes Dense k16
-use original air filter - it seems costly but serve for 10k Kms.
-make sure you are running stock tyre configuration with is 185/65/14 or max 195/65/14 to compensate the brakes.
-Tyre air pressue is 30psi each.
-brakes are not dragging.
-MAF is clean / use only electric contact cleaner with it, never use petrol or crb cleaner.
-try and clean the injectors/ using ultra sonic injector cleaning.
-the car does not have Cat conv so no need to fiddle with exhausts etc.
-Use 10w-40 engine oil atleast
-replace the txn oil if used for than 50k kms, the car manual says that the txn oil is good for the whole life of vehicle, but change it every 50k kms.
-use Tyoe IV gear oil by toyota and none other.
-the rad fan shud be operated in auto mode.
-change the driving style, dont push it aggressively to gain speed and lift foot from gas peddle to let the transmission shift in higher gear, u will feel it.
-see if the AC compressor is taking extra load.
