Hmm and which brand you are using??? I am currently using Toyota Petron 20w50 but fed up with its cold statt behaviour it seems to me that engine is running without oil in start as there is 5'C here in morning

How to check radiator fan working?? My thermostat opens but fan doesn't start suddenly it takes a very long time like 15 mins

IMO fan should start shortly after opening of tstat valve as hot water is now mixed with cold and temp guage also shows mid point

fan has an ecu which works with the temp sensor signal

For this purpose I am planning to buy an OBD2 scanner bit I am not sure which OBD2 scanner will work my car . If any fellow PWheeler tried an OBD2 scanner on his Altis 2005 model then let me know I actually want to see live reading of actual coolant temp as temp guage always sticks to middle

Thermostat opens at 82 C. And radiator fan turns on somewhere between 95-100 C. So nothing wrong with system.

But rougly what time interval is berween these two events?? Todays I left the car idle for 10 min after 15 mins drive both upper and lower hoses were hot enough but fan not started and even guage not moved an inch how crap is this design

when the thermostat valve is open fan kick on & off - on for 25 seconds, off for 45 seconds. if the ac is on FAN goes high & low ( never stops ) with same interval

You can buy any one from Daraz but have to add special protocol in torque pro app.
Fan turns on at 98° in my corolla se saloon.

Also guage does not give proper temperature reading. My car reaches 110° and still the guage was stuck on middle. It starts rising after 110°.

110 in degree C??? Why it rised that high in your car, are you quoting a particular incident or it goes that high?? What about ELM device does it give live data like coolant temperature??

it does not go above 98° in normal circumstances. In my case I am losing coolant so at that time radiator water was all consumed so it rises that high but guage was not moving until 110°. I was seeing this in realtime in torque app.

Obd2 scanners are mostly based on elm327 as this chip can read data from ecu.

95-100°C is normal operating temperature. Radiator fan kicks in between this range. Whereas 110°C is upper critical temperature limit. Needle will stay at middle till 110°C. After that engine starts overheating.
