I guesw if i drive in the same style. I will get the same average. I used ac moderately. Had 4 passengers with luggage in boot.

i used 185/70/14 but still it used to lock up, never tried bigger wheels, but i am sure 195/65/15 wud be better, also the suspension and struct shud be stock, no extra weight (cng) in boot..

people have tried replacing front brake calipers with that of axio/prius/camry along with brake distribution T valvle and say there is some improvement.

some have replaced rear disk brakes with drums also claimed improvement,

i never try to play with factory fitted brakes, too risky and complicated for me

if i drive on or below 120 KPH with gentle acceleration then there is massive improvement in fuel consumption, but its too boring for me doing that, only when my father is with me, i have to abide by his instructions, but he seldom sits in this car..

and its an 1.8 Altis with 1ZZ-FE

to improve fuel consumption, an important point is to take care of wheel bearing and brake servicing, both can cause excessive drag and would silently effect fuel consumption, drastically.

Hello.

I change air filter (guard) everytime at oil change which is usually done around 2500 km.

Now I don't want to get in an argument, but I am using 20-50 oil Havoline in it (2007 model 1.3) . and i will never use thinner oil in such an old car.

For our city 2017, which ever oil honda puts in is fine for us and also for the corolla altis new model

I was thinking of washing the air filter with surf (placing it in surf water for half an hour and then washing with clean water and drying it). will it then work as new?

It's b/w 11 - 12 in city with A/c.

I have noticed some decline in mileage, may be due to aging factor of Dumba or due to multiple drivers with different driving styles.

Nowadays it is
15 in City without A/c
14 in City with A/c

Mohsin I changed the plug set too along with cleaning the MAF. But the improvement for my ride is 3 to 4 kms. SE saloon requires lots of efforts to give a better mileage.

What other things??untill now I have done following things,
1) Cleaned MAF
2) Cleaned Throttle Body
3) Replaced Air Filter
4) Replaced PCV valve
Other things done
1) Purchased valve cover gasket and RTV
2) Ordered new PCV hose
3) Purchased new spark plugs

As per my knowledge I am done with Air Intake System, next is Fuel system about which I have no idea what should be done, suggestions are required from fellows
