Toyota corolla se saloon engine sound

AOA every i bought a corolla se saloon few month back 1.6l 3zz-fe engine CNG is installed but the previous owner said that he as disconnected the cng i am not sure that he diconncected for the purpose of sale. Nevertheless i am not using it on cng on ODO meter reading 93000km but not sure that is it reversed or not. At start it was give mileage about 4 km/liter i have done following works on it.
1.Tuning of car
2. Change throttle body
3. Installed kabuli MAF & aqua 1.5 orange colour injectors, k16R-U11 spark plugs installed
Now average reached 6km/l not satisfied yet.

I have few questions to ask
1. There is a sound not knocking but clicking type sound when i accelerate the car
2. It as few leakage of oil and some time i observed oil indicator blinking
3. How can i achieve good average as i heard about varaiable resistor but can't find its adjust
4. Which grade oil i should use i use API SL shell 20w-50
5. What is the capacity of oil. Is it complete 4liter with oil filter change

Hi Adeel,
There seems car not in good shape in terms of maintenance.
the clicking sound might be of head tappets/knocking Use mix fuel HOBC and check the results.
if leakage is high like dripping oil drops on floor, immediately fix it.
this car easily give 11-12km/l with AC. Your one is unrealistic. The best is to diagnose from proper mechanic/Toyota dealership. I doubt you car might do missing. you can observe the unstable RPM at idle.
i doubt the car has 93000k so cosider it 300k driven and use only 20w50 of Shell oil only.
its complete 4 liter with filter as engine is 1.6L
I own the same car for last 8 years and its original mileage is 350km but still in sealed engine and running perfectly as daily use car.

CNG fitted vehicle's odo at 10k km is equal to 20k+drive petrol driven vehicle!!..
If it's driven 200k km on CNG wear & tear in engine suspension etc will be like a 400k km driven vehicle

Hi. Did you buy this car in karachi? Because around 3-4 weeks back, I too saw an SE Saloon, and i heard the same clicking noise when accelerator was pressed, idle was unstable too.

Car doesn't have missing but during idle there is no visible fluctuations in RPM but during idle i feel hesitation in car. Bro i am fade up becasue i am in quetta and there is no good mechanic here

Capsat bahi ish say phelay 23250-22080 k injector thay i change with the same OEM number mgr k9he farak nai parha pir ish waja say aqua ka dala. Yes i know 5w-30 or 10w-30 recommend oil for 3zz-fe engine
but i heard from many experts even on pakwheel live session that old engine and high mileage engine they recommend 20w-50

11 to 12km on AC really becasue can you suggest for what maintenance i should go for and do know the thing callad varaiable resistor or fuel trim potentiometer as to do something with fuel economy i can't fine its adjust should i replace it and can i find replacement part of it new or kabuli

Not always... It happens only if it drops below 100, it then creates starting troubles.

But if compression is in 120-130 range it gives bad economy of 5-6kmpl... So whenever someone complains about that low economy. Bad compression & multiple cylinder misfire caused by bad coils, bad short plugs, bad blown injectors is the cause...

If there's no misfire and still bad economy then 100% surety that its bad compression. Cuz any sensor, thick oil grade or any other thing never drops eco too low.
It only drops to 2-4kmpl drop at most.

BAd compression mean over haul the engine

That depends after you pull the head apart... If its rusty then no overhaul.
If block coolant lines are good and head is not rusty & bore isn't worn out too much overhaul is possible with less cost... If bore is worn out then assembly replacement is good.

Please use a lower viscosity oil, preferably according to your car's manual. I would recommend 5w30 or 10w40 shell helix/total quartz fully/semi synthetic oil.

Bahi engine purana hay and and people recommend high viscosity oil like 20w-50 for older engine. I am also in in favour of this high viscosity. But afraid k kahen problem increase na hojahay

Aoa . Adeel i am using se saloon 2005. 25k At odo. I observed some irritating sounds from engine. When i use shell hx6 10w 40 the engine got smooth. Try this

AoA thanks for kind reply . Sahaseeb before 10w-40 which mobile where you using 20w-40 or other. One thing more caltax havalione as lunched 10w-40 what us say shell or caltex and. And u use fuel 4l or 3.7liter with changing filter

Shell HX6 10 W 40 is synthetic base oil . My car rattling sound and it was the sound of timing chain , every mechanic told me to change the engine but when i tried HX6 . The noise gone and fuel performance got better too.
