I have corolla se saloon 2004 1.6 my car power steering pump at cold start was very noisy and there was tappet cover leaking oil at the same time pump seal is also leak. Well i change tappet cover packing the nosiy sound of power steering pump disappeared by it self now suggest me should i change the pump or repair the seal only and change its fluid. Moreover local mechanic and even in auto shop here in quetta there is no such thing like power steering fluid they pour ATF fluid and say this work for power steering as well but on utube people say that it high in viscosity so it will heatup the pump so should i order it from pakwheel shop or daraz or i pour the ATF fluid in it. And kindly expert also suggest me which is recommend OEM power steering fluid for Toyota corolla se saloon 1.6 2004 model thanks

Toyota use ATF in the power steering system. its even written on the cap and owner manual too.
Bahi ap k pas onwer manual hay and konsa ATF use karon D-ll or D-lll
any dexron type ATF - D D2, D3, D3H, D6 - everything works
even ford type F works in toyota without problem (stinks like hell though)
Other suggestions for replacimg the pump or should i only repair its seal
The original pump is quite robust and very easy to repair with new seals and rings
If its not noisy, buy its seal kit and get it changed, flush entire system and refill with atf
