This is really very bad craftsmanship by the welder. why he is not using single piece over pipe-benders to shape the curve?

they look nasty now as it is incomplete when it is shaved it will look better and like single pipe, you wont be able to see any weld plus i can not get any aftermarket due to space restriction it needs to be manufactured in the car based upon the available space otherwise i would have used the stock headder.

it is indeed, its been 1.5 months, it should have been finished by now had minor hiccups as i planned everything to the scratch due to the lazyness of the guy this project is slow but IA it should be up and running soon. Engine wiring is comple started the car 2 days ago and it sounds like a beast.

its okay to criticise that is the whole point of starting a forum, it looks nasty as it is not shaved once shaved you wont even notice any isses and i have carried out many custom headers and exhaust jobs and most of the big companies do not rely on bending the whole pipe they normally have 2-3 pieces in a bend..

Did you start the engine? I guess the compressor which comes with this engine is R-12 Denso, if you go for R134A flush out system fill new ND8 oil and R134A refrigerant

it does not matter where & how a person worked. The quality of work speaks about skills of individual no matter its an old school 1963 Datsun Blue Bird or Nissan GTR from 90s' - The fact of matter is it is your money and the quality of work shall be according to your requirement & aesthetics,

2ndly while the engine was off bay and mounts were " crafted " - it should have been properly cleaned as in washing cleaning with degreaser, after all you are attempting a engine swap & body work / repaint Right ??

i may have worked to built a new cycle from scratch box-kit from china but am a *** if i can't align the chain with rear axle sprocket for proper tension while pedaling. - hope you got point through,

thanks, yea i am not doing that right now first i will test the engine got 1 year warranty on the compressor so i am good for another 10 months

I have never been the sort to say something negative about a mechanic / workshop, but couldn't stop myself when i saw where your car was being worked at. In all honesty, you have made a huge mistake getting a swap done from this guy. I say this cuz i made the same blunder a while back and then had to spend all over again to have his faults rectified from another place. His workmanship is crap and he is all about grabbing an extra buck. My only fault was lack of time and i had to rely on him more often during the course of the project, which practically screwed me over (for which i only have myself to blame). He will never go with the defined timelines so relax and just go there for chai and see whats happening. In case you need any kind of assistance, do PM me.

PS. Be very careful when you make payments to him. Take a receiving every time. Never pay him when he is high!

Tho no mechanic will ever say anything good about another ones work and trust me no has since the car has been on the road, but my issues were genuine. Like I said, I take full blame for what I encountered, as I didn't give much time and solely relied on the guy.

I have had bad experiences in the past and hence have been on back foot since day one, firstly I couldn't find any one to do it proper he knew what he was doing, I am thinking of cutting down his work and taking most of the work away from him, I am going to drive the car for at least 2-3 moths to test mechanical components and will then strip it IA, lowering the car I think is rule of thumb. He was supposed to all of this work swap, lines etc in 15 days its been 1.5 months and stil no progress I have been away from past 3 weeks, I was not gonna leave the car with him but he literally insisted that he don't have any work leave the car so that he can work on lol to my surprise and I knew this is going to happen not a single bolt was cleaned on a car never mind any work carried out by that lazy **** ..

My problem is he asks for money before hand, showing his emotional side and sympathetic approach, I have scolded him spoke to him nicely, makhan polish all but nothing seem to working on him and he does what he needs to do that is NOTHING! lol

Lol I understand. Been through it all. Don't give in. You're stuck so not much you can do until you get your money's worth done from him. Henceforth, set a milestone for further payment. Otherwise you'll end up paying all of it upfront with a lot of work pending. Make sure you hold a certain sum to get you through the troubleshooting phase, be it a week or whatever.

Tweak Motorsports is highly recommended (they're in the same area) for troubleshooting and in case you want to shift the car to another place. They did all my post swap troubleshooting, to my entire satisfaction and are fairly reasonable / on time. That is in case you don't have another option and want to avail a tested one.
